NESCO 4818-12 18-Quart Porcelain Roaster Oven (Red)

Less sharp edges on the product then with a cheaper brand. Worth the money product name has been around for over 60 years. Makes the moistest turkey that you'll ever have for Thanksgiving.

Did a beautiful job on the turkey!

It was 121 degrees outside and we did not want to heat up the house. This roaster cooked a nice juicy turkey in the recommend time. The roaster pan was light and easy to handle.

Love the size much larger than expected and made of material free of materials that other roasters that cause diseases

This oven is really good as a second oven, especially during the holidays when there is so much going on. I cooked a 6.5 pound whole chicken in it. It came out great. I am sure it will be good for hams and turkeys but it definitely is not good for roast beef. I tried that with a recipe for the oven. It was terrible and I had to throw it in the trash.

When I bought my TWO Aroma 18 QT Roasters at Walmart last November I was pleased as punch at the good price they were. The best thing about the ones I bought, is that it has EXCELLENT quality cords and heating units. The cords DO NOT overheat and get hot to the touch like some of my older name brand roasters. 'BUT, the first time I cooked a big batch of tomatoes in them, the porcelain on the inside of the pan insert looked like it had been etched. Like the glossy finish was GONE. I took them to the landfill. If the enamel finish is not stable, in my mind they are not safe to cook with.

DO NOT BUY this roaster oven!!! I have other Nesco products that I am happy but not this piece of JUNK. I used it one time to cook a turkey and the pan insert is IMPOSSIBLE to clean. I scrubbed and scrubbed but still looks like the inside of a dirty oven. The insert is thin and I guess it over heats. Strangely it is the sides that that are impossible to clean not the bottom. Save yourself some frustration and look for another brand.
