Nest (NC5100US) Hello Smart Wi-Fi Video Doorbell

I have been using this doorbell for about 6 weeks and I am very pleased. The app works great and the quality of the video is good. While the instructions caution you to hire a professional installer, I installed mine myself without any problems. The installation instructions on the app lead you right through it. I also watched an installation video that was quite helpful. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this after I put one in for someone. It was simple to install and the benefits were pretty cool. I am pretty handy when it comes to most things. I watched the youtube video before installing it and it literately couldn't have been easier. The app walks you through the whole process even if you aren't to handy. I downloaded the app and the created a Nest account. Followed the instructions and within about 30 minutes it was setup. I got the bundle with the Google Mini and was able to get it to announce that someone was at the door. Later that night it activated my Nest trial for the month. I was able to get notifications for the whole month. I still haven't determined if I want to do the subscription to the service as all I wanted was the notification ability. Might end up doing it anyway as it is worth some of the advanced features.

Bought this about a month ago and I'm loving everything about it. There is a small time delay from when people actually ring and show up at our front door to the time I receive the notifications on my phone, but overall it has been a great investment!

The only complaint is even with the zone area decreased it still signals every time a car drives by even though we have "Motion" alerts turned off. But I'd rather know who is approaching the house sooner than later since it is to stop package thieves! If does make some great recordings of the birds chirping!

Works great, it's smaller than the ring doorbell. Notifies me when packages are delivered by specifically stating "a package is delivered" or picked up. It has 'familiar faces' technology.

It is more sensitive to motion and sound than I expected. I have to remember to put it on quiet when my gardener comes because it detected him 33 times- mowing the lawn.

Pro: excellent video quality. Great price for the money. we feel secure knowing we can monitor our home. Cons: nest customer service was horrible. They told us to hire an electrician because there was no Nest customer service representative in our area. We had to figure it out and fix it ourselves. We had an older doorbell and had to order a new one from Home Depot. Unless you are electrically/mechanically inclined , you will have a very difficult time Setting it up.

product was simple to install and connect to Google Home Hub. I purchased this following a neighbors house having an attempted break in. The police were able to pick the guy op within the hour due to video of the intruder. I wish nest wound improve firmware so you could rotate picture 180 degrees . I had to mount mine on it's side due to the siding configuration of my home.

The doorbell was fairly easy to install and worked right away. I like it for the ability to see who is at the door before responding. I don't like the several second delay that it has. I would have preferred and frankly expected it to be almost instantaneous.

A great product but it never stays online. I had this doorbell for 2 weeks and it only stayed online for 2 days. After that it's been offline. I brought a WiFi extender and it still won't do anything. I try working with this thing but nothing seems to work. I am going to return it.
