NETGEAR - Nighthawk AX6000 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem + WiFi 6 Router, 6Gbps (CAX80)

I've been using the Netgear CAX30 modem/router combo for a while now and overall it's been a solid upgrade for my home network. Setup was straightforward and I was able to get everything up and running without much hassle using the app. The biggest improvement I noticed was in speed and stability. WiFi coverage is strong throughout my place and I've had far fewer dropouts compared to my previous setup. It handles multiple devices well, whether I'm streaming, working or gaming. One thing I appreciate is having the modem and router combined into one unit—it saves space and reduces clutter. Performance-wise, it's more than capable for most everyday users and even heavier internet usage. That said, it's not perfect. The price is a bit on the higher side upfront and advanced settings can feel a little limited if you're someone who likes deep customization. But for the average user looking for reliability and simplicity, it does the job very well. Overall, I'd recommend the CAX30 to anyone looking for a dependable, all-in-one solution that delivers strong performance without a complicated setup.

Netgear has hit a home run with the CAX30 Cable modem with wifi router. I like all-in-one devices. And it auto updates software. It is easy to activate, and delivers the speed and internet access for gaming, streaming video, video chatting, or just surfing the internet. I would definitely recommend this product to those wanting a cable modem that has a wireless router built in.

I like my equipment my old one work fine but you said no more updates what I don't like is checking boxes for other services I really don't like auto renewals and no place to cancel on website

This is a replacement to a previous Nighthawk modem/router that lasted 7 years and was still going strong, but was outdated. The Berger products have always served me well. Thank you!

It works well. I like how in the app, I can control which devices are connected. There is a feature for accessing the device when not connected to the unit, but it turns off another feature. However, setting it up is complicated. I went through all the steps for connecting it with xfinity, but it didn't work. I had xfinity disconnect it so I could re do it. I tried again but went from the nighthawk app instead. Apparently, I did it correctly to first time, but I did have to finish set up in the app. That part was unclear.

I purchased this because Netgear said my previous modem/router was out of date and wouldn't receive any more updates. It literally works the same as my older one. The speeds aren't any faster, I really didn't notice any difference other than this one costs way more. I probably could've held out on replacing my "outdated" one for quite some time and saved the money but I thought I would get better speeds with this but it's the same even though I pay for 1gig internet, I don't get that speed with this device. Other than that, it works fine. No issues other than I can't get ahold of anyone about the warranty and how to extend it in case it decides to malfunction.

My smart devices either cannot find the network, or sporadically lose contact with the network. The device is put in the same location that my previous modem + router was, so the broadcast signal is worse. For wired devices and wireless devices very close to the router, the connection works.

The modem that Netgear recommended is not compatible with my XFinity service. My Xfinity service provides speeds up to 1.0GB, but the modem cannot handle this amount of speed. As a result, my internet connection kept dropping off, over and over and over again. I have since installed an Xfininty modem. I would like to return my Netgear modem for a full refund.

Set up not working. Called help number waited on line for over 30 minutes to hear repeatedly someone would be with me shortly. Gave up. Still not setup.

Modem/router was working fine then went out after 2 weeks. Netgear support could not fix issue. Xfinity had tech out to verify everything was working correctly and ended up returning modem after spending 8+ hours on the phone with no resolution.
