The modem works as claimed and meets all performance needs. I had a problem with it getting on line. I called the help line and determined that the problem was with the ISP. They had to do something on their end to get the ISP and the modem to communicate.
Very pleased with the immediate improvement to my internet speed. I only wish I had made switch earlier!
Well, the old one was working just fine and now so is the new one. Being on a fixed income I'm not a fan of forced upgrades that aren't in my budget but that's not Netgear's fault. Just a sign of the times.
I was appreciative that Netgear sent me an email letting me know it was time to update my router with a link to ensure I was getting the correct one that worked with Xfinity. Setup was easy and it's working fine. Internet connection is good. No issues so far.
It works well. Was simple to set up with Xfinity as the ISP.
Great modem for gamers on a budget! 2 lan ports, fast speeds and very stable. Pair with a quality router and you won’t have worry about upgrading for a while!
We purchased this modem on August 8th and both it and our Nighthawk Mesh 6 router system went down after the power went out and neither of them were functional afterwards. We had a 2 year protection plan and after a week they finally started the process to replace it by asking me to send a picture of it. We didn’t have time to waste with no internet so we had no choice but to buy the Comcast rental. We contacted NETGEAR and even though it had only been just over a few months for both products, they would not stand behind them and offer a refund for them.
The 2nd Ethernet port is for a LAG network setup. Meaning you cannot run 2 devices from this modem despite the misleading description. The modem does provide the speed it describes... But get a 2 for being Misleading.
I had a Netflix modem for many years that worked just perfectly, but it finally died and I purchased this new one. I'm sure it's a good modem, but it did not work with my computer at all.
It keeps dropping connection to the computer and laptop. Several times a day. Support is impossible.
