So historically I have been the Nike guy. Specifically Kobe's and their on court performance regarding basketball shoes. Now being over 50 and still competing, I was advised by a good friend to try out these shoes. They have given a new life to my aging knees and failing response and reaction time. I am able to jump with a little more vision on the down fall and the traction on these are amazing. Especially when playing in gyms where they don't dry mop or wet mop the floor daily. Go away with the traction sprays and just purchase a pair of these.
My son was battling with heel spurs and shin splints. We tried several shoes and at the end of a game he could barely walk so bad that we were going to see a doctor. I saw a YouTube review of the shoe and I noticed how much cushion in the heel so decided to give it a chance. After several tournaments and about 15 games he said he barley feel anything in his heel anymore.
To be honest, it's not as plush as the GT Jump 2. Cushion-wise, the consistency is more similar to the GT Hustle 3 with a slightly more soft feel. It does sit high off the ground like the other two, so just something to consider. All in all, the shoe works pretty dang great if you want to soften the shock to your knees.
Very comfortable! I normally buy Nike’s for my basketball rotation. Since im bored, i tried to venture out and started trying other brands. I also tried WOW 12, but so far this is my new favorite. Super comfortable and since they’re midcut, i can feel extra protection for rolling my ankles.
I don't see myself ever buying another brand of basketball show besides NB. Very Comfortable - only note, if you think you might have wider feet - get the wide sizing. I have never done that in past - but it took about an hour of playing before I felt like my feet were not getting strangled. But since then they have been perfect.
These shoes have been great for my local town games. The shoes have plenty of room for my feet, are lightweight and flexible but also sturdy going up the back of the foot. Only thing I did was change the lacing pattern so laces don’t cross over the top of my foot.
I definitely notice the difference between this shoe and the one's I've been using previously. It seems to absorb the impact much better and is giving me some ankle support.
Great hoop shoe for guys susceptible to shin splints and ankle injuries. These shoes combined with regular calf exercises have eliminated my shin splint pain.
As a bigger, older player, I have loved the cushioning of the V2 and was excited to try out the V3! They are very similar to my V2's and have nice materials and fit. Same great grippy sole with a great balance of lateral support and cushion. Definitely my goto ball shoes!
Causes a lot of pain to my small toe. I guess these shoes run small or narrow but other reviews don't seem to indicate that. Could also be inconsistent quality and I got a slightly off size shoe.
