The first one I ordered lasted a long time BUT BUT BUT.. you need to make a huge change.. please make ALL your posts with rope.. not just one portion. See in the photo the last one was totally destroyed bc my cats scratched on all the posts!!! For the price, I think you could do that! It would be very helpful! Otherwise, great product and my cats love it!
We've bought 4 or 5 cat condos in the $175-$200 range and this one is probably the most well-built one. The carpet is nice quality and not thin like some we've bought. Also, every surface of the condo is covered with carpet including the bottom of all the ""buckets."" It was easy to assemble and it really is very stable. I know a review or two complained it was flimsy, but the one we got is definitely sturdier and more stable than some more expensive condos we've got. I like the sort of ""waterfall"" design of the buckets as that makes it easy for the cats to hop from one to the next and easily get to the top. As the picture shows, it was instantly a hit with our cats. We have more than three cats, though, so there's a little competition for the sleeping spots. I think we'll probably end up ordering another one of these so everyone has a spot. The only negative I can say for this is it needed some trimming of the carpet backing strands and vacuuming of loose carpet fuzz. We have one cat that likes to chew/eat any little string so we didn't want her eating any of the carpet. But I've never got a cat condo or tree that did NOT need to be cleaned up a little just like this one. We love it and, like I mentioned, will be getting another one soon.
This cat tree is awesome! I've been looking forever for a cat tree that was super sturdy and could stand up to my herd of cats. It looked exactly like the one I saw on a pet website that was much more expensive so I thought I'd take a chance. This cat tree is real wood and really heavy duty, definitely exceeds my expectations. The carpet is a much better quality than the last fews cat trees I've purchased. It did have that unpleasant new carpet smell, but it wore off after a couple days and my cats sure didn't mind. I have 6 cats sleeping in the 4 attached cat beds that are very happy indeed :)
Very sturdy. My cat is 16 pounds and it doesn't move. Comes in three pieces so with my older cat I gradually add layers
We have the trifecta of kitties: petite, average and chunky. Our chunky buddy just can't fit on certain levels of most cat trees but this tree is totally made for him! Deep and wide. Her can curl up and truly enjoy it.
The cats love love love this! Super easy to assemble and it arrived so fast. Real carpet and sturdy.
Very sturdy and easy to clean. Our large cats can fit together in the same cubby. We even bought one for a gift. Your cats will enjoy this for a long time.
This tree was really easy to put together. You don't need any tools and one person can put it together in literally five minutes. My cats are about 10 and 13lbs, and they were nowhere near tipping it over while climbing it. The carpeting is kind of cheap, but overall I'm pleased and will probably get one more.
The sturdiness and the ease of assembly is superior the other cat furniture we have purchased. The rope on the scratching post doesn't hold up judging past experience with other furniture. We wish the carpet used to cover it was tougher type. The cats are already clawing the nap out.
I wanted to replace my cat tower because the base of my existing tower was too big for the area. This looked perfect to me. However, the first trouble was attaching the post on the left. I spun it and spun it over and over and over and still could not get the opening of that top bed to line up properly. In the photograph, it does not even show the opening for that top bed, but you would think it would face the front. After much fiddling, I was finally able to get it to face the right instead of the front, and the seam on the post is not ideal, but it works. The second bed was even more problematic. Trying to set the screw in the right spot is hard when the bed wobbles and there is only one person. Maybe it takes two people to assemble, but at the moment, I have tried to attach that second bed for 2 hours and I continually end up with it facing the backside. Also, the carpeting was unattached on the top bed in the entry spot, so I had to glue it down with Crazy Glue. It should. have been stapled like the rest but I don't have a staple gun. I can't finish assembling the tower because the second bed is not in the right position, so I can't secure it with the screws. I'd send it back but I haven't had friends come over and fiddle with it yet, and that is my next step. I like the idea of this tower, but the setting of those screws is very difficult and it's not looking like the photograph.
