New Genuine Spare OEM BL-51YF Replacement Battery for LG G4

Just reminded me...forgot to put the old one back in. This was to be a "spare". For under 8 bucks, free shipping, made by "LG" and arrived in 3? days not to shabby! The thing is I may never need it much cause the LG G4 is only 1.5yrs old. But nice to have extra spare power. These seem to charge fairly quickly. Came well wrapped in a little plastic bag and thin cardboard box and shipped in small size envelope. TAKE NOTE USPS: the envelope is "ok", but what would happen if smashed w/a hammer? Anyhow; All phone batteries tend to be a bit soft and can be dented. STORE ALL THESE BATTERIES SAFELY IN A GOOD CONTAINER IF NOT IN YOUR PHONE!!! Has built-in "IC reg" to stop over charging for extra safety. This phone does drain these batteries, "4k display". Well, need to charge this up and put the old battery back in. I'll have to check to see how long the new one will hold its' charge in storage. Humm, where did I put all those old phones..."battery hunt" !

Unfortunately, LG no longer sells these on their website. There are lots of fake + refurbished versions of the LG batteries out there so you have to be careful. Some vendors don't even know that they are selling refurbs / gray market batteries. American Cellular, sold me the genuine brand new BL-51YF manufactured in 2016.

I received the new battery, put it in my phone and it was charged to 50% and will not charge any higher. I let it run down and it will only charge to 50%. Also Walmart does not make it easy to return without going into a store, which is usually long lines and a nightmare to work with in the stores. Amazon lets you return to a UPS store, usually no lines and they take your defective item, give the customer a ticket and they take care of packaging and shipping back. Walmart has to make it easier. I would rather deal with Walmart then Amazon if I could. Walmart has got to make it faster, eaier and more streamlined for their Walmart customers who are paying a premium for this service.

This supposedly new battery won't even take a charge! Going to return it. Would not recommend buying.

This is a scam, do not buy! The battery was NOT new, moreover it sent my LG G4 into a boot loop after it overheated. Luckily, I held on to my old battery and am using it again, the phone is OK. I threw this garbage out.

Don't buy this. This is not a new battery. The one I received had a manufacturing date of over 3 years old. It held less charge than my 3 1/2 year old original battery. I am very disappointed.

Bad out of the box battery. Took phone in a shop and they said battery was bad and would not charge. Trying to get a replacement.
