Battle proof worthy and maybe bullet proof.

Anonymous January 11, 2024

Before this I owned a Motorola Quantico for maybe ten years. There were features that I enjoyed on that phone that the KYOCERA goes not have. Then again there are features on the KYOCERA that my faithful Quantico did not have. Six of one, half a dozen of the other. Not sure what the KYOCERA is manufacture of however if a truck rolled over it am sure there would be no damage. Would have to say the most "feel good" feature was the KYOCERA is manufactured in Japan. As a photojournalist all my camera equipment is manufactured in Japan, not China.

Pleased with new Kyocera DuraXA Equip

Dog Walker September 16, 2022

I bought this phone to replace LG Envoy flip phone not supported by 4G LTE. It is about same size but twice as thick. It is a nice, simple phone - definitely rugged. I printed out 121 page User Guide to familiarize myself while I waited for phone to arrive. It has an FM radio that works with earphones.

Great rugged phone holds up on dusty drywall jobs.

Sueda October 13, 2025

This is about the 3rd phone of this brand that we have purchased in the passed 25 years. It is great for a construction worker. It survives lots of dust.

Very reliable cell phone

javierm137_3996 August 12, 2025

This is my company phone number and it has been good to me so far. The battery lasts a few days which is way better than my smart phone lol. The service always seems to work great no matter where I am . It's well built, seems very heavy duty. No complaints about this phone.

good basic phone

Jim Iowa September 12, 2022

Much improved over Kyocera's previous model- though it has more options it is also easier to operate. Adequate for light internet use. The volume can be adjusted to a much higher level than the older model- very helpful in adverse outdoor conditions. It is bulkier than most flip phones but the main downside is this phone has weaker vibrate function and notifications are easily missed.

Kyocera DuraXA phone

Anonymous June 19, 2022

My last phone was the same model essentially, however, this one is less responsive and harder to use (more complicated). It does nothing that my old one didn't do except the old one was only a 3G.

Phone Options Limited

Titanium September 17, 2022

It is big & bulky. Needs to be charged every couple of days. I don't like the Prediction option when typing a text. Bring back the T9 Word option. It is much faster & easier than choosing a word from a list. It doesn't give me an option to use my own email alert sound.

Incredibly Poor User Interface!

M Stearns May 15, 2022

I've had an older Dura model for the last 11 years and am incredibly disappointed with this new version. The user interface is horrible, much worse than previous versions. Alerts for missed calls/texts are subtle, hard to see and easily missed. Physically it is larger and chunkier than my old version making it hard to slip into a pocket.

Do not buy this phone.

Difficult to use. Loved my LG hate Kyocera. Have no idea how to save pictures sent to me to my gallery and US Cellular people just tell me they are not trained on flip phones. Sell them but cannot operate them??? Contacted Kyocera and they say download and print manual myself. Manual does not explain how either. My daughter sends me pictures of my grandsons and now I cannot save them. Cannot zoom in pictures or adjust that I take and save either. Plus does not give storm warnings. Tornado went thru and 4 other people I was with phones sounded the warning to take cover but not this Kyocera. I got nothing. This is phone US Cellular sold me because they ended my LG 3g service. Was not my choice to change phones. What happened to simple to use LG?
