Does what it says

rcher300 March 27, 2016

This little amp does what it claims. It is very small, I mounted two side by side on an aluminum plate and tucked them under my center console. It's a great addition to my factory HU to power the after market speakers. I got two of these and two sets of speakers for less than the cost of just the speakers at other locations online. An easy upgrade to factory system. Also ordered the amp wiring kit from Walmart fused for 50 amps and powered and grounded both amps with the single kit.

Mini power

Small and powerful. The size of a laptop charging cable, it puts out good power to my mids and tweets.

5 Stars; Outstanding unit!

NWMark March 14, 2019

It has been over 1 year since co-installing this power amplifier on the output end of my DUAL CD-Radio. I bought this power amp because in my experience, - except for very expensive units - most replacement car radio/CD/USB units have relatively little power. I don't mean a lack of boom-box power; I mean sufficient power so that one can hear decent bass and treble response at reasonable volumes. The sound quality on this unit is absolutely outstanding! would give it 6 stars if it were offered. Sound is crisp, full and rich; this power amps' absence of its own volume control in no way detracts from its performance or value. After all, if you can control volume from your dash radio/CD/USB/BT unit, why do you need another one on the (usually inaccessible) power amp? This unit is a Class D amplifier. What that means is that its power-to-size ratio is VERY high. Translated, this is a 400W amplifier in a VERY small pkg. I mounted mine via velcro on its underside to the bottom of my glove compartment, so that if its own fuse ever blew, I could pull the unit out of the glove easily, replace the fuse, then the amp, and boogey away. (BTW, the original fuse hasnt blown yet). Will be shortly purchasing another one of these marvelous power amps for my other car, before the mfr gets ny hir-brained ideas about discontinuing this model.

VERY powerful little amp but not very clean power

DhDolphns June 16, 2018

First off this little amp puts out some serious power!! ..BUT I found it lacked any bass and it wasnt real clean power, the lack of a gain control hurts the amp IMO as the amp is basically set at full gain on a amp with gain control which leads to distorted sound at high volume (I knew it didnt have a gain control b4 I got it) Had it hooked up to Pioneer 6.5 components and 6x9s and it was decent (but not great) for the door speakers but the 6x9s lost a lot of bass compared to my Pioneer 2 channel amp 75 watts rms) I wanted to replace..it wasnt very clean sounding but for the price I gave it a shot.. If you have a aftermarket deck with a preamp voltage of 4 or higher I think it would sound cleaner but my deck has 2.5 volts and that may have contributed to the sound a little. But my 10 year old Pioneer 75x2 amp sounded a lot better (at same volume)..I have that amp powering all 4 speakers now and it sounds great but I need a 4 channel amp for fader and crossover control. Thank Goodness for Walmarts great return policy!

Needs mounting brackets attached from factory

guyc January 25, 2015

This amp is small and easy to install. But the hardest part is unscrew the factory screws to attach mounting brackets. I ended up striping them. They are too small and too tight.
