This is a basic no frills DI box. Nothing fancy here, but gets the job done well. I have bought many Pyle products and never had any issues. I know sometimes they get a bad rep because quality control will let a dud through every once in awhile. As for me, I have been lucky, I own several of these DI boxes and never once had an issue. Since they are so cheap I have extra just in case one was to malfunction. You can't build one of these for less than 10 dollars so what do you have to lose.
Worked
I' ve used these direct boxes for the last 5years and never had any problems . They have less signal loss and cleaner sound than one's costing 10 times the price. I've done sound at 6 different churchs ans used these at each one with great results. Still can't believe how well these work and only cost $10. Have recommend to other sound techs.
Excellent transaction , received sooner than promised . Good packaging.
For $10, what do you expect? I ordered this as a quick backup at the same time as I ordered a $39 LiveWire PDI (after doing a bit of research on DI sound quality). The Pyle is probably okay for "live" use in a typical non-ideal club environment but the sound is far inferior to the LiveWire "double shielded" PDI, especially in the bass and guitar bass range. The Pyle was not noisy and I did not have any problem with the attenuator switch. However, the Pyle would not be good for recording unless you are doing heavy metal or other content where sound quality was not a top concern. I also noticed that XLR output level was much lower than the LiveWire PDI which had a much better, heavier and presumably larger transformer inside. So, as is typical, on the cheaper end of things, you get what you pay for. The Pyle is probably good enough for many situations but not for professional use.
It's not here yet. I am still waiting. I could have ordered from china instead
