I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I was looking for a wine fridge for about 30 bottles, and i made a research with about 5 different brands and models. I have already a smaller New Air wine fridge which doesn't make noise, maintain my bottles in the temperature i want, and its being with me for more than two years, excellent products. I highly recommend this products for people that really care about their wine, and appreciate a beautiful piece at their home. I am really happy!!!!
Fast, free delivery, so far cooler working great. It's a little noisy but that's a compressor. I only store reds and it seems that it would hold 33 bottles as advertised, unlike some other models. I would buy it again and recommend it to a friend. Thanks for a great product.
- Temperature setpoint is 55F and stays within temp +2 / -0 - Interior bottle racks are designed for 5 narrow bottles, so large bottles (from PEJU winery) will only get 4 on a row (reason for 4 stars) - Controls are accessible above the glass door and easy to use - Glass door is attractive - Overall good value - Shipping was quick and the product was packaged appropriately
After researching and looking at many units I decided to give this one a try. I had never done any business with this company but both price and free shipping was a major incentive. Unit arrived in excellent condition and very quickly. Delivery guy actually asked us where we wanted it placed... In any case, after a month, unit is running great, holds temperature very well, is quiet, convenient and I've found a company I can do business with.
Heavy duty shipping package delivered wine cooler in perfect condition. Though advertised as a 33 bottle capacity, I have 34 bottles stored in it by stashing 5 bottles in lower drawer. Temperature control efficient, keeping within one degree of my selected value. That, in spite of room temps of 68-70 F. Compressor noise hardly noticeable and rarely on. With the attractiveness of unit, black body, brushed stainless trim on door, and UV glass, I opted to display in dining room, rather than storing out of sight. I'm thoroughly satisfied with this NewAir Wine Cooler and recommend it highly.
This product has been fantastic and exceeded my expectations! It's exceptionally quiet (this was really important to me) and holds to my temperature setting exactly. The buttons push easily and don't get stuck like so many products do. And they advertise a lot that the slide-out shelves making the wine accessible (which they do), but I love them because it makes cleaning the shelves and wiping down the inside a breeze. We love everything about it and will be keeping it well stocked! :)
I returned the thermoelectric unit because it would not stay cool for this one. This one spends its time around 55-56 deg F (set on 55) but I have not measured it for accuracy. It rarely runs and seems to be working just fine, when it does run, it is pretty quiet, but I keep it in the laundry room. I feel like it is still quieter than the thermoelectric. The very bottom section is about 1/2 the depth to fit the compressor behind it. Good enough capacity and size to serve my needs.
I read alot of good things about this wine cooler so I ordered it and installed the door handle when it arrived (easy to do) then plugged it in. I waited a couple of hours then filled it with wine bottles and realized that the typical sized bottles fit very well but the larger bottles were a little tight but still fit in the slots. The oversized bottles (champagne) I put down on the bottom shelf which easily holds four or five bottles. I love the way it looks and the blue light filters down from the top of the unit to the lower shelf especially if you leave a couple of slots open. The cooler is located in our kitchen and we rarely hear the compressor go on (very quiet). We set the cooler at 55 degrees and when we want a bottle of white we pull it out and enjoy it immediately and as for the reds, we pull out a bottle, open and pour a glass but wait about five minutes for it to warm up to drinking temp. We recommend this unit.
Although it will keep my wine at a more preferable temperature, I really bought the product because I like to make a particular beer which needs to lager at 55 degrees. This unit is perfect for both the wort lager process (3 weeks) and then the post bottling time period. Have not made first batch yet but so far unit is maintaining the temp I have set it on without running an abnormal amount. It is very quite which I was concerned about. Only thing I MOST definitely did not like is the lack of leveling padded feet on the backside of the unit. Worse the bare metal stands are very rough and before I realized it, I managed to put a very severe scratch in my hardwood floor. I suggest some quality control efforts be made on this issue as it would be easily fixed.
We bought this wine cooler to replace an older thermoelectric wine cooler. Shipping was fast, price was good. It looked great in our dining area. HOWEVER, we are returning it. The compressor never shut off. It was very noisy. It sounded like a coffee pot percolating. There was a constant loud hum 24/7. We called New Air and they suggested returning it and getting a second one but we don't want to take a chance.
