NewAir Countertop Nugget Ice Maker, 44 lb, Portable Ice Machine, Black

I had purchased an icemaker from another brand And within a few months it stopped working. I was really disappointed so I started doing research and found newair's nugget icemaker. Wow what a difference! This machine is on point and I absolutely love the nugget ice. I highly recommend this product.

I absolutely LOVE this ice maker, so far. Just got it and it is an absolute delight to use. I was deciding between this and the GE Opal, saw some negative reviews about mold and the lower capacity with the Opal and decided to take a chance with this machine. So...so far, for 3 weeks I LOVE this machine. It looks nice, works as expected, and flawlessly makes amazing ice. I could not be happier. I am, to date, a very satisfied customer. 5 very solid stars

From page 6 of the manual, "Registering your product information online is safe %26 secure and takes less than 2 minutes to completed..." I just spent 40 minutes registering my purchase with Newair online. What a hassle, and what a terrible registration process! Had to scan my purchase receipt and then upload it. Had difficulty populating each block. Had difficulty getting them to accept my purchase date, and also hassled me about when entering my serial number. Most people would probably give up and forget registering. It does make small ice nuggets and fairly quickly. The icemaker is fairly heavy and takes a lot of space, and because it uses water you can't avoid some minor spills and melting. You can expect to have questions about operating and care, because the owner's manual was not thorough or well-written. Two places it gives partial cleaning instructions and it begs more questions than it answers. Expect to periodically drain the water reservoir into the sink or find another way to drain it where you use it.

I am satisfied with this replacement ice machine except it is very noisy. This machine was offered to me as replacement buy for my Newair nugget ice machine that was purchased for me 13 months earlier, which was out of the warranty date by 28 days. Lucky me, right? I love the nugget ice and like the customer service I have gotten from this company.

Underwhelmed by the performance of this ice maker, especially for the price point. It takes quite a while to make a enough ice for only two cups or two small glasses. I was not satisfied with this purchase and so I sent it back in for a refund. Sorry...

Came with cosmetic damage to the front on the machine. Not the biggest deal in the world, didnt want to go through the headache of having to return it and wait for another so Newair agreed to reimburse me 10% back with an email. Well still waiting on both and now the machine is making a strange squealing sound. I have tried turning it on and off, unplugging, going throug a clean cycle Ns nothing. The sound is terrible. Just spend the extra money to get the GE one.

I loved the look of this ice maker and was very pleased with it for about a month. It was easy to set up and very user friendly. Sadly I woke up one morning to find water all over my kitchen counter and onto my floor. The product had power but stopped cooling. I returned it.

I had to reach out to manufacture because there was a mechanical issue that would cause it to screech. The manufacturer did remedy it and sent a new ice maker.

I am on the 3rd icemaker from Newair, first one quit within a year, I purchased a replacement because I needed one quick. The black plastic piece broke that ice comes out of. That unit lasted almost exactly 12 months (warranty). Newair sent me a replacement, that one broke at 15 months. Same part, which they don't have. They offered a 40% discount. Do not waste your money, get a reliable brand from a company who backs up their product.

Customer Support will not do anything about replacing even though still under Warranty. It was not this noisy/clanky at first and then at 6 months it was LOUD. Can even have it turned on when people are in the house. Also, the inside light stopped working. Very disappointed with it especially due to the price.
