I had another brand of remote temperature sensor that I used for a couple years …when I ordered it again the new sensor didn't work at all so I switched to this Newentor brand.
I studied the reviews. They said it was easy to set up ..anything like this stresses me but I did get it set up and it is working. The base unit is directly above the remote unit which is down in the basement .
The directions are easy enough, but they don't start out with the basics of telling you to put batteries in the base unit. I guess this is obvious but steps need to be done in sequence with these contraptions and it would have been nice to read about that first before I went on to the remote sensor unit .
Seems accurate -screen is easy to read. There are a couple other little indications that are handy to look at ..my main concern is the temperature in the basement and in the rainy season the humidity.. because my basement leaks.
I am a little concerned about the remote unit, which does not have a very wide base. If there's a vibration in the basement, it could easily fall over. I don't know if having the sensors exposed on the bottom of that remote unit is a good idea.
