Newman's Own Sockarooni Pasta Sauce 24 oz

The absolute best jarred spaghetti sauce. We have tried most, if not all of the others, when this one has been out of stock, but we always return to Newman's Own. The Sockarooni contains nice chunks of peppers and tomatoes, adding even more flavor. Please Walmart, never stop stocking Newman's Own.

Have loved Sockarooni since I was a kid and even more as an adult. We get this for every spaghetti night. It's got great flavor cold, hot, mixed with leftovers, you name it. Even got our kids eating spaghetti "with the sauce". Has a great flavor and can't imagine spaghetti night without it.

I like the pasta sauce, but my local grocers have quit carrying the brand. While I was happy to find the brand at Walmart, picking it up proved a bit of a hassle. To me, anytime a curb-side pickup takes longer than 15 minutes waiting in my vehicle after checking in, I'm reluctant to enjoy that experience again.

This is so close to my homemade sauce that I use it now instead of making homemade sauce. It saves so much time and also contributing 100% to charity is unheard of and amazing!

I love this sauce, it has become my go to for using in my semi- home made speghetti sauce because it also has the perfect amount of bell pepper that I don't have to worry about buying one that I usually toss at least half, I use with a 15 ounce of tomato sauce and 6 oz can of paste with my seasonings and it's a winner for all family members, I pray Newmans Own continues to make it indefinitely ✌️🫶🌻

Costs a little more others but I can't find anything with cleaner ingredients and the flavor/quality/texture is unparalleled! It also makes for an extraordinary chicken marinade. I baked 6 chicken breasts in this sauce in a covered casserole for an hour at 425°. I turned the chicken and checked temps at 20 minute intervals. Upon completion, I sprinkled fresh grated parmesan and mozzarella on top and popped it back in till the cheese was melted. Served over mostaccioli, it was perfection! Without pasta—STILL perfection!

excellent sauce with no sugar added. I add my own sugar to temper the tomatoes and it is the best jar sauce I've ever tasted. it's thick and savory and coats pasta completely.

I like the peppers, both for the taste and for the garden fresh consistency (chunks, rather than an overprocessed liquid). This is kind of a mid-priced product along the jarred sauces spectrum that I think is no better at the top end than the cheapest of them. You just like the ones you like, and I like this one and others from the brand. This variety, though, is not one my kids will touch out of their deep sensitivity/fear of anything they deem spicy. Which, I don't think this is very spicy, but you have to like green peppers (oddly, my kids will eat those, but not in a sauce). I really didn't enjoy this sauce. The texture was full of tough tomato skin and fiber pieces that made it unpleasant to eat, and it completely took away from the meal. The flavor also didn't stand out at all and wasn't any better than cheaper brands I've tried. I ended up not finishing the jar. I wouldn't buy this one again.

Horrible! Salty just plain yuck!! Newman ‘s own should take this sockarooni sauce recipe and “sock” it into the garbage can!! This stuff is definitely a no go for me! I do not recommend this at all!! Ragu beats this stuff hands down! I promise I will never buy this again! This sauce caused me to waste thirty dollars in other ingredients including the six dollars on spent on this garbage putting a family pasta dish together ! Never again if it was sitting with a free sign above it!! Wouldn't carry it home!!
