I like this pizza better than any other frozen pizza! It has a thin crust which I like as well as it is "light" on the sauce, cheese and topping which I also prefer! If you like a crispy crust, make sure to follow the instructions on the box and do not use a pan to bake the pizza.
The most important factor is that this is one of only two kinds of pizza I've been able to find that are not bioengineered. That's of paramount importance to me. I will not feed my family anything that's bioengineered. Newman's Own aims for healthier ingredients and I appreciate that.
I have tried a lot of different frozen pizza brands and found the Newman's Own brand that seemed to be a healthier choice. Thought healthier would mean not so good on taste but it is just the opposite. Taste is excellent. Thin and crispy crust IMO was just right. I would like to try one with just the cheese topping but have not found one for Newman's Own brand. Cost slightly more than other popular brands but for me well worth it. Highly recommend.
We really like this pizza. We also like it doesn't have bio-engineered ingredients. It's the only pizza brand I have found that does not have bio ingredients.
Saw this rated highly on Epicurious (Youtube) as a great frozen pizza. They have more details. I'll give it a thumbs up. It's a little more expensive than the red barons and such, but the taste is worth the extra couple dollars.
Listen - I am a frozen pizza hater. I always think they taste fake %26 plasticky. This pizza changed my mind. It is genuinely better than a lot of flatbreads I have gotten at restaurants. 10/10 go to for the days I don't feel like cooking!
I purchased this because all the ingredients listed are healthy (although there is no such thing as healthy pepperoni). I have purchased many Newman products in the past and typically love them all. However, this was just alright. The curst was very thin , the pepperoni hot, the sauce and cheese sparse. If you're going to buy frozen pizza then this is the healthiest one you can choose, but if I'm going to indulge in pizza , I'd just as soon get one freshly made from the local pizzeria. Although I will note that I did save the leftover pieces and put them back in the freezer for the next time I don't feel like leaving the house to get pizza.
I've been getting the Newman‘s own pizza since it first came out and I have to say it's now a disappointment. There's less than half the cheese that they used to be and there's really not that much pepperoni anymore. If Paul Newman was around he wouldn't stand for this.
I tried it because I read the tomato sauce was not sweet, which so many frozen pizzas have. But this was not a good pizza. The cheese was sparce and weird - very unsatisfying.
For this pizza to be $7, I really expected more. I eat tombstones pizza for $4 and it tastes way better. This Pizza barely had any cheese on it and the flavor tastes like a cheap regular frozen pizza. I guess I expected more because I typically wouldn't spend $7 on a frozen pizza. going back to Tombstone.
