My affection for Cessna airplanes goes back to my childhood. I was looking for something to decorate my desk at work and this looked nice. Assembly was mostly simple. The only real difficulty was getting the screw that connects the wings also connects the rear landing gear. The single screw is a little tricky to get lined up properly but once it starts connecting the two parts go through the fuselage and tighten up fine. It is a little tail heavy so if it is placed on a flat surface the front section will tilt up easily. While the display stand is king of flimsy it does a decent job of holding the model at a climbing angle. Overall it is a good model. It probably would not hold up to any real play but to decorate a desk or use for a training tool it is worth having.
For the price it's a decent model ,
Easy to assemble, requires no glue just 4 screws. Took 5 minutes. It is perfect for my use in flight instruction.
Great instructional tool for flight instructors. Large enough to swoosh around and demonstrate aerodynamic effects and flight procedures. Inexpensive where it is no big deal if it breaks or gets lost. Paint job is shoddy and the plastic is warped on the horizontal stabilizer. Definitely better use as an instructional tool rather than a display piece that it is intended to be. Overall a great gift for a flight instructor.
Nice model, but part of specifications description is not accurate. Model is NOT die-cast, as it is NOT metal. It is however of highly polished plastic which gives somewhat of a metal look. Painted areas of design are ok, but not perfect. Tires and propeller are unpainted... a more complete and realistic look would be achieved if they were painted.
Nice looking model. There are four different screws. Make sure to get them in the right place. The outline looks very scale and the paint and trim are very good. The tires and prop need to be painted to really improve looks. The plane is tail heavy and will need nose weight for it to set on all wheels which will require splitting fuse in half and regluing or a small post under tail. The stand is very loose where it attaches to the plane and needs to be glued if you choose to use it.
Very basic snap together plane, My plane and specifically Cessna planes, obsessed 9 yr old didn't take to it like I thought he would, I dunno kids are a trip.... Still a neat little "model" plane. Definitely not for kids rough play but its not overly flimsy just not for a child's type of play unless your kid(s) are decent to there toys my 4 boys think the object of toys is to see how to destroy them the best they can... 🙄
The airplane should have a front landing gear but what's in the box has a rear dummy wheel that is part of the plastic mould. That is not an accurate representation of this aircraft.
