I've used this for a couple of years Whenever I start getting a crack I starg using it and within a couple of days ,its healing,Awesome stuff
With extremely cracked fingers from work, I couldn't put cream constantly 😫 ,so this helped me put a barrier on that wouldn't come off so easily with water 😀
Been using this for a long time, has worked every winter. Working outside or in very dry humidity inside causes my skin to crack severely. This stopped the pain and aided in healing with the first application. Have to apply as needed to heal.
I have a new condition on my fingers that isn't responding to any meds, OTC or several prescriptions. It affects most of my fingertips and thumbs. Bandaids don't stay well... This stuff is GREAT!!! Paint it on and the pain stops.
This is the only product that works on my cut fingers in the winter. That said, it doesn't stay fresh long enough and about a half of the small bottle is wasted. The product turns yellow and gets very thick. When you try to apply it, it gets stringy and it's almost impossible to brush it on. Please address this problem or tell us what we can do possibly prevent this from happening. Sadly, this product is hard to find in stores. Ordering online, one will incur shipping and handling charges also. That drives up the price of this small bottle and makes it costly. It's more costly when I have to throw out a half-used thickened bottle.
I've been plagued for years with cracked, bleeding fingertips during the winter months. Nexcare Skin Crack Care is the only thing that helps. I brush it on during the day (often in multiple coats) to patch cracks and protect them from the impact of normal activities (which cause further splitting). Before going to bed I wash my hands and, while they're still damp, I apply Skin Crack Care anyplace I think a new crack might be starting. Sealing new cracks at night often stops them from developing further. So in the daytime I use Skin Crack Care to patch and protect, and at nighttime I use it to patch and allow healing.
Really great product that heals cracks fast and efficiently. I bought a second Nail Crack Treatment. I noticed the first few weeks it works as I know it would but after it has become thick and turned all yellow. I have used this product before and this never happened with the previous one. I have stored it and used it as directed. I know it may wash off after rinsing your hands which does not bother me much as I reapply it. Best time to apply, I think is at night as cracks are healed or properly sealed by morning. I think the formula needs to be improved so that product does not turn thick and sticky (Leaving chunks of gel-like residue) and turns yellow in time.
Works well for cracks and abrasions, both to keep the wound clean and to help it heal faster. It is surprising how much faster it heals when you use this stuff!
I bought this today because all of my fingers are cracked & bleeding. I used the Skin Crack Care as instructed and I kinda loved how there was a near immediate relief and I can see the skin just ~looks~ healthier already. Directions state to add several coats throughout the day which I've done, but even with my making sure cap was put back tightly, I can already see a thickening of the product. At the price paid, I would've expected this to go much longer before showing visible thickening inside the bottle. I came here and I read customer service telling people they need to thin this product out with another of their products. We should be provided a small vial of the second product (liquid bandage) inside the box given this is a well known issue so I'm a tad perturbed about it. In the end, I am grateful to have found something that gives me relief but annoyed that six hours after purchase I'll have to spend $ to fix a known issue. This product is great for people with constantly cracking skin that needs to be sealed. The problem is twofold. It is very expensive for what you get, even though it is much better than anything else on the market. At the least, it should come in a larger quantity. Also, when you get about 3/4 through the jar, the liquid becomes very viscous and is so thick that it is hard to get out of the jar. You end up wasting the last 25% of each jar which really adds up if you need to use it constantly.
