Nexcare Steri-Strip Skin Closure, 18-Count

I had a minor surgery three weeks ago to release my trigger. It required around 3/4 of an inch incision on my palm. The doctor closed the incision with 2 stitches and were removed after two weeks. However, the day after the stitches were removed, the incision separated resulting to a gap. Instead of going back to the doctor, my niece (who's also a physician) recommended Steri-Strip Skin Closure to close the incision without the need for re-stitching. After a week of using it, I saw that the incision is now closed. However, I decided to use the strip for another week to make sure that it won't open again. Now, because of the Steri-Strip, the scar on my palm is not very visible! Thanks!

Steri-strips are one item that should be in everyone's first aid kit or medicine cabinet. I've use them to hold surgical incisions closed, was able to avoid stitches in a pretty bad cut on my hand, and in one case, was able to keep a bad cut on my toe closed until I could go to an urgent care center for stitches the next day (the cut happened at 11 pm and I wasn't going to spend the night sitting in the ER!) I bought these last weekend because my husband had an accident with a wood chisel. The chisel slipped and went into his wrist. The EMT (who happens to be my daughters boyfriend) checked it and said Steri Strips will work. I immediately went out and bought Steri Strips they work great. Closed up the wound and kept it clean and draining. My husband said he can feel it holding the wound closed as he works. He didn't need stitches Steri Strips did the job fantastic. After just 6 days the wound looks wonderful and is healing well.

Having a very active boy into everything, my son often had accidents. Many times Steri-strips saved him from having to have sutures and requiring another trip to the doctor or hospital. These are wonderful!

My husband recently had skin cancer removed from his face. He has Alzheimer's and would forget why the bandage was there so he'd remove it. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A FIRST AID KIT STOCKED WITH NEXCARE PRODUCTS IN THEIR CAR AND AT HOME. I AM GLAD I HAVE ONE READY AND AVAILABLE, BECAUSE I HAVE HAD TO USE THESE PRODUCTS IN AN EMERGENCY AND WAS GLAD THE STERI STRIPS COULD CLOSE A WOUND TO PREVENT EXCESSIVE BLEEDING UNTIL THE EMS COULD ARRIVE.

I like these because they hold skin together and are not tooo bulky or noticable.
