NexGard Plus Flea, Tick & Heartworm Chewable for Dogs 8.1-17 lbs, Beef Flavor, Green Box

Taken as a preventative treatment for my Schnauzer. He takes it right out of my hand excitedly (yummy) no fighting or hidden tricks needed for him to eat this! We have run into a few dead ticks on him after overnight trips on the hiking trail, nexgard plus seems to protect him well and works as stated. My dog gets pampered as anyone else in the family so we'll always keep him protected as best as we can!

I have been using it for years. Works because I never had fles, ticks or heartworm. And cheaper than I can get from my vet

My puppy has been using this since we adopted him in March of 2026. He doesn't like the smell or taste, and frankly I don't either. It doesn't smell beefy at all. It is more of a chemical smell

I bought NexGard® PLUS from my vet - the chewables are too hard to chew and I've resorted to heating them to soften them, with little success. I'm not sure if heating them is acceptable...can they be cut up into smaller portions and mixed with, for example, beef juice?

My big girl has used Nexgard prevention products since she came home as a puppy. We never had a problem before, but this month, she got sick within 24 hours of taking her dose. She had such severe vomiting and diarrhea that she was unable to eat. We had to take her to the veterinarian for intervention. Now I am afraid to give it to her again and I do not know whether it is safe for my other dogs.

This product is not easy to give to my baby as he hates the taste. Unfortunately, I lost a lot of the pill trying to get it down his throat so he would swallow it!!! Of course he lost a lot of the potency as he didn't get enough of it!!! I'm not happy with the way it isn't easy for my baby to get down! I would like to get a pill that he likes to take like the original NexGard! I didn't have any problems getting him to swallow them! I don't know what I can give him that he'll take and it will work!

There are a lot of reviews and discussion threads online about dogs not wanting to eat this. Our dog will NOT eat it. We don't know why NexGard Plus doesn't fix this. Our dog never turned down the other well known advertised product she was previously taking for years, and we're not going to go through the trouble of cutting up Nexgard Plus and hiding it in food to try to get the dog to eat it. Nexgard Plus must know this is a problem, but they refuse to fix the product. We will not be purchasing it again after this runs out, and we will be giving our veterinarian absolute hell for forcing us to switch to it - working in collusion with Nexgard to make it difficult for us to obtain the alternative. We may switch veterinarians over this we're so infuriated by this very expensive product which a large percentage of dogs including our own WILL NOT consume.
