Okay I had the previous Blu-ray from Criterion of this movie and I thought that was really good so when I purchased it again for the 4K version I thought I was doing another world famous double dip but to be honest with you I was really happy with the picture quality. is it miles better No does it have HDR again no. I don't know if HDR would make a difference here maybe in the black levels but to be honest with you this is a mild upgrade I wish this version came out initially so I didn't have to buy the movie and waste money. I would say buy this version if it is your first time buying this movie If you already have the Blu-ray the 4K is superior but not by much. Now with that being said the picture quality on this movie is the best it's ever looked and probably will ever look seeing that George Lucas foundation was involved in the restoration and it looks fantastic for a low budget film of this vintage. I am very pleased to own this in my collection and I guess I will just sell the Blu-ray copy as it will never be viewed again after the 4K. Hope this helps a potential buyer take care.

This a silly low budget movie, but a classic for it's time. It opened up a new genre and even in black and white it looks great in 4k.
