Night Owl 20 Channel, 16 Wired 4 Wi-Fi 4K DVR Security System w/ 2TB Hard Drive

Night Owl systems offer great flexibility in monitoring homes. It's simple to get up and running although this system does require a lot of cable runs which I have done before. The cameras offer a great view during day and night. I'm still checking but these may be limited to event recoding and not full-time. So I see a lot of events with nothing there. Some other features like the audio I haven't checked into but the recorded audio is nice to have. Some limitations I see is not being to get a full screen view om my phone and setting a default audio limit on playback. (full volume is the default) Some far a good system with the ability to add in WiFi cameras.

I haven't fully installed the system yet, but I have it on my desk checking everything. i also ordered a two pack or the WiFi add-on cameras and have those installed and up and running. The camera angel is great as is the quality of the images. I have yet to figure out the intricacies of programming each camera, but I'll get there. I really like being able to add the additional 4 WiFi cameras and setup was easy once I got the cameras on the 2.4 of my mesh system. At first, when I added the WiFi cameras the app would recognize them as separate devices and the app would not let me add the WiFi cameras to the DVR. To get it to work, I had to temporarily turn off everything except the 2.4 on my mesh because at first the app or the DVR was not recognizing the WiFi cameras as additions to the DVR. In the end, everything worked as advertised and I think I'll be very happy with the system. I want to add that the presales team was very responsive to me. Also, there is a ton of support videos on the Night Owl site that walks you though everything..

Excellent product with a very good price

The DVR is working great. Only have one negative comment. The unit supports 10 cameras. I am using 6. I cannot find a way to disable the other 4 unused cameras and they fill one third of the TV screen with unused blank camera spaces. Other than that a good security system.

They are a nice upgrade from our old 8 camera system with Night Owl but the app does seem to lag more, and I can't move from screen to screen as easily as the old system.

Positives of this product are that the color and picture clarity is good. Easy to install, connects to both monitor and phone app. Negatives of this product is that video relay to screen is a little delayed and the wide angle distortion starts to far from the camera for our needs.

VIPOutlet is a fraudulent company. They are processing orders in an unethical way. Walmart upper management has been informed. Buyer beware.

By far the worst security cam system I've ever used! The swan I thought was the worst but this takes the cake. Heat issues that cause it to shut down. Can't display the video out of HDMI without crashing it. Cameras are supposed to be heat sensing but yet detect leaves as a human face. But then when a human walks all the way across the camera field it two-thirds of the time doesn't pick it up! Notifications are incredibly slow. App is even worse. This brand should be completely removed from Sam's club, does Minot match up to the , does match the quality I would expect from any product offered. Avoid at all cost!!!!

Went in and out, it was out of service most of the time. I had to return it.
