system works great. I just wish the box has a off and on switch like the wired cameras. if you live on a main street like me. The camera that's pointing towards traffic the batteries wear out fast. It looks like the camera that pointed out to traffic is going to have to be charged weekly. And in the dead of a Michigan winter that's going to be very hard when its freezing outside.

It fulfills it purpose of being a completely wire free camera that you can place anywhere within the range of the wireless recorder. Good features and sensitivity, and the ability to "Speak" through the Camera speaker and "Listen" using the Mobile Application. One Caveat though is that while they say "Up to 6months of Battery life" that must have been in an empty room with zero "Triggers" on the camera, since I have this configure to only trigger on "Human" and "Face" and with 10-12 Triggers per day, the batteries only last 2 weeks before needing a recharge. However, knowing that was likely, I also bought the wall charger that comes with a spare set of batteries so that you can just swap the dead ones with the fresh ones and put the others back on the charger for the next time.

I am pleasantly surprised with the range of the wireless cameras. I haven't mounted them permanently yet but soon...that will be the real test. The cameras will be 90 feet from the NVR. The claim is up to 300 feet...we'll see!!

We bought this system last month and we're pleasantly surprised by the ease of setup and the effectiveness of the camera coverage. Very glad we found this product.

We bought this to install while we were on vacation for 2 weeks. Even though they are just temporarily set up we can see what is going on at home when we are 1700 miles away. Can't wait to set cameras permanently and learn more about the features of Night Owl.

Fast delivery of product as shown and promised. Cameras were easy to install, but the DVR/NVR setup was not all that simple or as easy as expected. After several reboots and needing to create a DDNS ID, Password and Domain name we were finally able to get the system set up and configured to our personal preferences. The camera quality is outstanding! Wide view and bright colors in daylight and crystal clear B&W images at night. I've owned two prior systems from another company and I will never go back after seeing the Night Owl perform.

set up was fairtly simple but if your using a desktop set up its VERY limited on what you can do or adjust. they make you use the App.. fine but its VERY SLOW. video on day one as 10s slower then real time.. that's a LONG time when somebody is waiting at the door. or breaking it down. looking at past footage is clunky. not easy to select times, to view, and again its all on your tiny phone so cant see much.. you cant access the past footage on the desktop application. only phone... that should not be a hard fix for them. so what's the prob? and you have to pay for a advanced version of the app to access footage from ANYWHERE. or you can only use it when your in WIfi range.

I've had 2 of these systems for over 2 years. The image recognition algorithms send notifications on: tree branch shadows, squirrels, cats, dogs, and other animals as Human" notifications. "Activity" zone settings are useless , as I continue to get notifications from images anywhere in the camera FOV. NO tweaking to sensitivity or other settings help eliminate erroneous image notifications. Engineering needs to make lots of improvements to the image recognition algorithms. PS: I'M a Cyber Engineer with over 40 years experience architecting, designing, integrating, operating and maintaining complex IT and security systems.

I have 2 older model cameras and love them. Wanted to put just a couple more up and bought the refurbished cameras. Well these cameras night mode was not bright or clear so decided to send back and get the non refurbished cameras. Well those are the same. At night the cameras are not bright or clear like the older models. I would love the older model cameras, if they ever come available please let me know.

Doorbell wasn't working upon receiving it. Contacted Night Owl for replacement, haven't received anything. Website says they have a EZ return policy. Doesn't seem that EZ. Shouldn't be this difficult
