Prefect dslr for under $400

TheRandomRob February 23, 2017

I was suspicious of this camera being under $400 as it is listed on Amazon and others as being $440. I was wondered that it was going to be used. But nope, it was brand new. I only needed something that shot video, in 1080p/60fps. This has a high-quality mode that makes the video look even better. The only thing I don't care for is the autofocus and the lens that it comes with but they aren't that bad.

Perfect choice for me.

LiTiFan April 4, 2014

I am 58 years old and have been interested in purchasing a quality camera at a reasonable price. Photography has been a growing passion for me over the years and I wanted to take the step to an SLR. I was worried a little bit that I wouldn't be able to learn the technicalities of the Nikon D3300, but, I was happy to see that learning this camera with it's easy-to-understand user handbook AND guide that is accessable from the camera., I have been using it for about a month now and am extremely happy with the quality feel of the camera and the crystal clear photos and movies it takes, unless you have already stepped up to spending thousands on your camera, you can't go wrong with getting your professional start right here.

Great beginner DSLR

James June 25, 2016

Right out of the box, it's easy to take pictures in auto mode. After learning how to fully take advantage of manual mode, it's a lot of fun to use. It's not had any problems so far. The battery seems to last a while if you're using the viewfinder and just snapping stills. Overall great experience!

Nikon D3300

Purchased this product for my daughter. Excellent product. Walmart.com had best price offer ($100 less from Amazon, as you have to pay tax on Amazon). Recommend this product.

This is an excellent camera! Had been researching DSLR cameras for at least a year and had narrowed my choices to two cameras...the Nikon 3200 and 3300. When I found the 3300 package at Sam's online I could hardly believe the price and my good fortune. I am still learning all the features and what I can do with it. The enclosed DVD is a plus for getting started. If you are looking for a good DSLR camera I highly recommend the Nikon 3300 and Sam's Club for the best pricing.

Nikon Niffy

I have only had this camera since Christmas (2014) so... I have used this camera for a family portraits and everyone thought they turned out really well. I had researched several cameras for months (I had a Kodak camera) so all the bells and whistles are taking some time to get use to. I would say research those camera you are interested in but I think the Nikon D3300 is really hard to beat.

Beautiful Photos

KPinNC December 26, 2014

This camera takes beautiful photos. It is easy to use in Auto mode, but takes a little getting used to in manual modes if you are moving from, or adding to, your other brand DSLR collection. I do feel like Nikon went a little cheap on the construction of this camera. First, it is way too light if you have unsteady hands. Thank heavens for the image stabilization in the lenses. Second, the battery door is pure junk. The second time I opened it, it flew off the camera. If I had been out in the field I may have been done for the day. BE VERY CAREFUL with it. Third, no tilt/swivel screen is annoying when shooting video. This is available on many much older cameras, I don't understand why they left it off of this model. In conclusion, this is a great entry level/amateur DSLR. If you have a large format printer, you will get some great wall art from this camera. Just be careful of the battery door!

You need to know!

UScustomer December 21, 2016

Well, maybe I would recommend. I cannot charge the battery to decide for myself. I opened my new camera a few days before Christmas to charge the battery be able to use it over the holidays. Good thing I did! Yes, it comes with a charger and battery and it is shipped from New York, but the charger is designed for foreign outlets and does not fit U.S. receptacles. What to do? There is also no warrant your card and no number to call for tech support, nor was a receipt included in the shipment. I will figure it out, but it adds a whole new level of complication to what was my most exciting gift.
