Love this lens
Overall it's a great lens, used it on my Z fc. Had a lot of fun using it at a football game and tailgate when I got it. Zoom is nice and smooth, the focus is fast, and it's fairly lightweight. Only minor gripe is no in lens VR, but I knew that when I purchased it. I'm used to lenses with VR, so it was a bit of a learning curve when I was taking zoomed in photos.

Great performance for the money.
Pros Optically excellent. Minimum focus distance is very close. No 'macro' feature required for close-ups. Quick, silent autofocus. Has a ring built in that can be customized in the camera's menus to do one of three things. 'Collapses' for storage. Comes with hood. 3rd-party warranty. Cons All plastic, except for the mount. It's high quality plastic and doesn't feel as gritty when zooming or focusing as some, but still can't compare to an F-mount lens from the 80s. Extends a loooong way when fully zoomed out. NO MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY. 3rd-party warranty requires registration by mail.

Mirrorless addition.
It is a very good kit lens. But its far better than a kit lens. Works great with my Z5. It is extremely sharp. Walmart had it for a great price.
