This is the second one I've bought, both work great. The first one i used with led lights and a gps and works all the time . The second one i use with incandescent lights and radio on a different golf cart and it doesn't even get hot, just slightly warm.

Definitely needed if your cart does not have factory installed accessories and you are installing lithium. Worked great for 12v power for the lights, stereo and outlet.
