NINESTARS DZT-50-49 Automatic Touchless Motion Sensor Oval Trash Can with Black Top, 13 gallon/50 L, Stainless Steel

I have bought several of these trash cans and i think so far i like this one better. I love the color silver. The other ones was silver and black. The black seem to catch to much tiny particles around my place. And having 2 kittens dont help either. But i like them than any other trash cans.

Great trash can but I wish there was a button to always stay opened or closed! It says it takes 2 D batteries but clearly takes 3. Batteries last a good long time. Had this can for 2 months and it's still going strong. Very handy when you have 2 hands of food waste and don't have to touch the lid. Sleek design but I would like handle/lip to pick it up.

It came in a very large box that I cautiously opened as I did not want to damage anything. It had a cushioned carton on the top and on the bottom that protected it quite well. Very smart looking Stainless-Steel trash can. The battery pack is in the top rear section of the cover. It holds 3 ‘D’ batteries. These are what allow the cover to open and remain open for a short time and the cover closes over the can. It has a sensor and if anything passes over the sensor the lid will open even if it is in the process of closing There is a black plastic oblong strip that fits over the can. You put the garbage bag under it and the plastic part secures the bag in place and it is not visible when the cover closes. It uses the standard 13-gallon bag which tells you it holds quite a lot. In moving it around to see where I like to keep it, I noticed it was not picking up any fingerprints. This will certainly help to keep it clean. It is 2’ tall and about 17” wide and 12” deep. I had placed it under the counter that is at 30” high. It opened and closed with no problem. I would not place it there permanently because the stool is there, but it will depend on your set up where you decide to place it. It is very convenient and easy to use.

We were unsure if a motion sensor garbage can would be for us but my whole family loves it! Opens quickly when you get close to it. Closes after 5 seconds. Also if you have to scrape food out of a dish it stays open the entire time because it senses the motion and then will close when you are done. It looks really sleek being stainless steel. So happy with it!

I love my new motion sensor trashcan! Just a wave of the hand and it opens fully with a good-sized opening for different sizes of trash. And the best part is no unsightly trash to look at as the lid closes itself within 5 seconds of the sensor no longer sensing movement. The size is perfect and my regular kitchen trash bags fit perfectly. Very satisfied and would highly recommend. The stainless steel finish makes the can look very nice sitting out in the room.

This is a great product. Nice and large to hold a week's worth of trash. Very elegant in terms of shape and finish. The automatic lid opener really helps when you have lots of trash. The directions state 2 D batteries, but I was able to use 3 C batteries. One word of caution - the lid opening sensor will open if you get too close to the trash can. I have started walking behind the can so the lid will not open. An elegant product with no major problems.

I love this trash can. My brother and his girlfriend also loved it and wanted to take it home with them. The thing I didn't like was it came dented in the side and front, yet the box it shipped in was in perfect condition. I was able to pop out the large dents but the smaller dents I was not. Very displeased with the maker/packer of this product. Other then that it works great.

Loved the design, and I didn’t have to fight with a trash bag to get it in the can. It worked well for the few months we got it, however, after replacing the batteries for the first time, the lid would only open a small amount and you had to pull it up. I spent almost $100 on this trash can. It’s insane to me that it would do this! I seriously want my money back!

The hinges are PLASTIC %26 FLIMSY!!!! Making it *very* susceptible to breakage. The motor isn't the best either %26 honestly, I wish I had of purchased the Mainstay's version for 1/2 the price!!! Lastly, the warranty is **** too, since it requires us to mail it back to THEM at our co$t, So why on earth would we contact the manufacturer??? Change the design to metal hinges, %26 then maybe you'll have a decent product.

I had trash can like this for 9 years. I loved it! It finally gave out! I purchased this new one in DECEMBER 2022 and now it doesn't work. I always had to wave my hand several times in front to make it open. The motor gave out after only 4 months. My husband took it apart and found a broken plastic "gear." Is there some kind of warranty on this trach can? I like but believe it shouls last for more tham 4 months!
