I'm really impressed with this Santoku knife. The blade is extremely sharp and cuts through vegetables, meat, and herbs very smoothly. Let me just say that this high carbon stainless steel knife did not disappoint me. It's perfectly balanced, with a full tang ergonomic handle that sits very comfortably in my hand. The rust resistant blade has a very sharp edge that cuts precisely and effortlessly through a variety of foods. Hand washing is recommended as with many reputable knives. Would highly recommend.
