My bad
Bought this for my 10 year old and didn't realise that it was for the NEW 3DS and he has the old one. The case fits but the charger spot is slightly off set. He chose to live with it as the case was cool!

fits perfect. comfortable in hands does need a cutout where the game insert is.. for now you have to pull it off th change game cartridge

If you want comfy grip only then yeah otherwise no
It does the job it needs to do but the volume, power, connectors dont line up at all and I do have a 3ds xl

Bought this for my son for Xmas with his 3DS, doesn't have a slot to put the games in so is a complete waste of $$
