Nintendo 3DS XL - Pokemon Limited Edition - handheld game console - blue

Seeing as I wanted to play Pokemon X and didn't have a 3DS, I decided to go with this limited edition one. It's amazing in person! The back and front designs are gorgeous and they have a glossy finish. As with all 3DS XL handhelds, the screens on this are generously large and you will not strain your eyes trying to play. Very happy I decided to go with this version!

I had been thinking of getting a 3DS for some time now, and when I saw this special edition XL coming out with the newest Pokemon game I jumped on it. The system itself is awesome, a great piece of technology that allows 3D gaming without glasses. The screens are also a nice size. The design on the item makes it that much cooler, and fits perfectly in a long line of Pokemon game systems.

Very nice, large, solidly built, looks really cool but isnt too flashy, also doesnt show fingerprints nearly as much as i would have thought it would.

How can you go wrong with the this great Pokemon cover. Recieved it fast and well packaged. Just a great buy.

This 3Ds is awesome. The special designed artwork is very well done. The system has a shiny glossy sheen, making it more attractive than some of the other 3Ds XL's. I would highly recommend this to any pokemon lover!

This special edition 3DSXL has a special image of Xerneas and Yvetal on the front, and the starters on the back--great for a Pokemon fan. It is quite shiny and attractive, but easy to scratch up. In general, the 3DS XL is bigger and more comfortable to use than the regular 3DS. The interface is simple and easy on the eye, and game graphics are beautiful. However, this is one handheld console I would not take with me on a trip. For one thing, the battery lasts between an hour or two, tops, which is about as bad as my Toshiba laptop. It also seems really fragile and breakable. The touchscreen scratches easily, and the DS family seem to be prone to top screen black-out. I have to be super careful while using and transporting it. It is definitely not as sturdy as previous Nintendo handhelds, such as the Advance SP (I've thrown mine around and have dropped it a million times, yet it still lives). I think one fall could wreck the 3DSXL. Bottom line: The 3DSXL is a great handheld for a responsible adult, but not good for the young or careless.
