An adorable collection piece.
The overall quality and design of Nintendo's amiibo line has reached what is most likely their peak and nowhere is this more evident than in this figure. This little guy comes in about half a centimeter shorter than the Ness amiibo. The design is pretty much a perfect facsimile of his in-game appearance. The paint colors are rich, vibrant and form a slight gradient on some parts to great effect. To top it off, the design is coated in a smooth lacquer to drive home that toy-like diorama feel of the game's art design. As for its NFC chip functionality, it unlocks an exclusive labyrinth piece for the custom dungeon arranging mode new to the Link's Awakening remake. However, you might get more value out of of designating "Toy Link" as your 'Smash Ultimate' sparring partner. Don't forget to pair him up on your shelf with a Chain Chomp figurine to recreate a scene from the game.
