Nishiki Premium Brown Rice, 15 lb

NishikiBrown is very fine rice and good for everything. I eat it myself and make my healthy dog food with this rice.

This is a great product. I prefer the medium grain brown rice because it is less points on my Weight Watchers eating plan. It also cooks up perfectly in my electronic rice pot and tastes great. The shipping was a bit slow but it got here in perfect condition.

The rice itself is great. I would give it 5 stars. However, the packing clerk must have torn a hole in the bag while lifting it (it is heavy) and shipped it without repairing the hole, so by the time it got to me, several cups' worth of rice had spilled inside and out of the cracks of the shipping box. Very disappointed.

The processing isn't good. You will find husk of brown rice in here and will be spitting out some of them or eqting them by accident. This is one of the cheapest brown rice around, so this is one of the few options if you're on a budget.

I ordered medium grain BROWN rice. Walmart shipped medium grain Rico brand WHITE rice. I need medium grain brown rice. I'm old and can't drive or do all the necessary things to correct Walmart's mistakes in shipping. Now I have 20 pounds of WHITE rice and still need 15 pounds of medium grain BROWN rice.

The rice is terrible! I bought 2 bags of 15 lb package, it's completely wasted. The rice grains are mixed with small mature/green immature seeds/damaged seeds/processed debris and worst of it, it contains moving, living insects. So many of them! Please see the attached photos. If you compare the middle two photos, you could even see some insects moved for a small distance. After I sieve them into the water, you could see the baby insects (the light brown color, but you couldn't see in these photos). Extremely disgusting! It's too bad, I bought them just past 3 months and just opened and cooked it once now. I don't think I will get a refund back, but I thought should let everyone know. Be careful when you try to use the rice!
