These micro lock aluminum S-biners work great for all kinds of different uses. I use them for my key rings, zipper pulls on backpacks and on my bbq Pitt cover to secure it to prevent it from blowing off by wind. I use a couple of smaller split rings and a microlock s-biner to secure the zippers on my large duffel bag to keep it securely closed when traveling.
