Finally a strap that works with me instead of against me. It took me a quick second to learn, but being able to move the rachet to my prefered location... fantastic.

I have a military ratchet stap system that I have been using for years. However, the local Surplus store has been closed for years too and I can always use a spare for my dearest neighbors when the buildings management get hungry & want to enter an apartment without notice [they just say,"call the cops, then.". With some excuse like,"I'm just checking for dog poop!"]. CamJam is the BEST!!!

I know you expect that from a free strap recipient, but two things give it this rating. How easy it is to undo and how you can move the buckle so it does not scrape, or dent something valuable. Several times a month these straps get used and they cannot be beat.

I've been using traditional ratchet straps for over 30 years to secure items on my trailer, tie down canoes on my Jeep, and keep shade tents stable at events. These new ratchets feature two significant innovations that really stand out to me. 1. Modular Ratchet Placement: The ratchet isn't fixed to the webbing, allowing you to place it wherever you want along the strap. This is particularly helpful when I secure my canoe to the Jeep roof; I can position the ratchet where it's comfortable to use and where it won't scratch my Jeep. Be sure to check out the instructions on using the capture frame to lock the ratchet in place along the strap. Additionally, if the strap wears out, you can replace it without needing a whole new ratchet. One specific use case I have is a 20-foot span, which has always been a challenge. By ordering a replacement strap, I now have a long strap on either side of the ratchet—something traditional ratchet straps can't achieve. 2. These things are awesome. The small size is perfect for tossing in the trunk or truck bed, and they're incredibly sturdy despite their small form factor. While everything is a good quality, I find these way too complicated for occasional use. It'll take you 10 minutes to figure out how to set it up annd unless you use it right away and often, you'll forget how. Then when it comes time that you need to use them, you'll be looking for the instruction book and cursing that you don't just have a regular ratchet strap.
