Usually, by the time you notice it's there, it's gotten to more than one family member, and the aftermath of damage control and cleanup is exhausting. NIX is the closest thing to a professional treatment you can get at home. It doesn't damage or dry out the scalp or hair and doesn't stink to high heaven, but it DOES kill lice & eggs. I prefer the dual kit with preventative treatment just yo make sure the little buggers dont come back.
