These products sold by Prosentyx are not found in home improvement stores, the usual popular name brand sprays I have used here in Florida for the last 10 years have resulted in insecticide resistant ants and other bugs because they got used to it. I needed a new arsenal and now I have what I need to take control of insects this year. I have already killed the fleas on my patio with a Prosentyx product but I can do more, Nixlo 1.3 also prevents the flea eggs from developing and hatching, ending the cycle. I expect to defeat the 10 kinds of ants that are making pests of themselves on the ground, indoors and on my roof. Knocking back roaches too. These chemicals are reasonably safe to be used indoors and they are pet safe after drying. The 16 oz bottles of concentrate will make many gallons for spraying and they are far cheaper than buying a tiny bottle meant to make only one gallon. The permethryn concentrate I was using with limited effect has a lingering smell like kerosene, these have less odor. I will try mixing two formulas together for a more effective treatment.
This kills a wide range of insects and their eggs, including fleas. It is very strong and takes very little to make several gallons. You can look on the second photo to see mixing/ratio instructions. Use gloves and wash skin with soap immediately if you get it on you. Look at the third picture for exact instructions. Keep it away from children and animals! This is not a product to handle casually or without understanding how to mix and use. It's great, but requires a healthy respect for it.
This insecticide is incredible! Small bottle of concentrate that goes a long way. It does have to be diluted with water before spraying, but it's an easy process. We used it to control fleas (it is also good for many other bugs and creepy crawlers) in our yard and it was amazing. It follows the life cycle of a flea from egg to insect and kills each one as it progresses and it works for over a month. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. You have to keep pets off the grass until it has had a chance to dry, but it is so worth it. Highly recommend!
I spayed this when I got it I have dogs so I be worried about fleas and ticks so I spray my dogs big furry rug and oh my the critters got to hopping then the stopped. Does not have a strong smell you will need a sprayer to get all the crawlies and spiders and stuff long term effectiveness is yet to be determined will revise if something changes
Professional grade pesticides can be very expensive, and I feel these offer a great value for a homeowner to DIY. I was first impressed with how well sealed up and clean they were, not a single drop spilled in shipping! The dispenser bottles worked perfectly and I mixed up batches in a 1 gallon pump sprayer for use both inside and outside. I got both the adultcide and the IGR to hopefully control the fleas this summer and we already saw results from the adultcide on the roaches and ants in the days following application. Very satisfied so far and I am sure the dogs will be thanking me later this summer when there are fewer fleas to drive them crazy.
This product of India is made in the USA. Carefully read the directions. It kind of made me apprehensive about using it. It can not be used in or around areas that have live animals or young children who may touch it in its liquid form. People should wear gloves and masks when in use. Generally used with sprayers in a downward direction. Never spray with wind. 1 ounce and 1 gallon of water does 1,000 square feet. For my needs, I used 1.5 ounces with 2 gallons of water and sprayed 1,500 square feet. With that math, I can get about 10 uses from just one bottle. I use it on my front %26 back lawn. This product works best by eliminating insects during their youngest/developmental stage of life. It also helps prevent eggs from being developed. Its primary focus is to disrupt the life cycle of bugs. It's good for ants, beetles, mosquitos and more. It can last up to 7 months.
I have never used a growth inhibitor before, but I really love the idea of stopping insects from maturing. The past few years we've seen large infestations of Lubber grasshoppers, and they're difficult to kill within insecticides. I'm hoping that we can stop them from maturing and laying eggs and break the cycle that way.
So far we use it as a preventative instead of a complete removal of bugs. So we haven't seen any critters pop up. Instructions stay in bottle and are easy to read/follow. It's used as a border around the house. With how much product I get, I'll use it on the whole lawn too!
This definitely gets the job done, but it's not an "instant fix"—it takes a few days (sometimes weeks) to fully clear out the fleas, so you have to be patient. The Smell: It is very strong. I wore a mask and did one room at a time, moving my kid to a different area until the whole house was done. You'll want to leave the house for at least 2 hours to let it air out properly. The Tools: Do yourself a favor and spend $10 on a pump sprayer. Don't try to DIY it with a spray bottle; your hand will cramp up, and you won't get the coverage you need. The Method: I sprayed the entire perimeter of every room, including the ceilings, under the furniture, and the bottom of the mattresses. Maintenance: Don't stop after one go. I believe this must be repeated multiple times to be effective. It's a bit of work and you have to be careful with the fumes, but if you're thorough, this stuff actually works. Good luck!
I am waiting on spring to use this in my pump sprayer, Nixlo was delivered quickly, packed well in a box and the container itself was sealed in tight plastic as well as the cap seal. I really like the squeeze bottle and the measurements for precise mixing, According to reviews I have read, I am ready for the bugs come spring.
