Great movie - not for kids
The Coen brothers have made some of my favorite movies - Raising Arizona, O' Brother Where Art Thou, Blood Simple, Fargo, Miller's Crossing, etc. While their comedies are my favorites, the quirky but serious crime movies are also very good. This one is at least as good as Miller's Crossing, and better than Blood Simple. I'm glad it got Best Picture, although the Oscars stopped meaning anything to me when they gave best picture to Crash, one of the stupidest movies ever made. Be warned though, the violence in this movie is extremely intense, but the acting and direction are top rate. An unemployed welder/Veit Nam vet happens upon a big drug deal gone bad while hunting. He winds up with $2 Million in cash and running from the nastiest hit man on Earth. Great south Texas scenery and a dark look at drug cartel action on the border in the mid '70s.

AWESOME BLU RAY MOVIE!!
I own this movie in regular dvd format and loved it. When I purchased a Blu Ray DVD player and new HDTV television this was the FIRST Blu Ray DVD I bought.It is spectacular! I can not say enough about Blu Ray and this movie!!
