Heard about NOMO, sounded too good to be true. It EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS. Mom over 80 and lets her phone die, we can't get a hold of her and we freak out. Happens too much... with NOMO, we can tell if she's getting around, eating, showering, all by merely examining movement - it's non-invasive. This thing can do so much, we've only scratched the surface but are so happy with the results after the simple install yesterday. Saving a TON of dough by not having to hire aides, etc. My buddy's mom just had a fatal stroke last week and was left for hours.... sadly this could have possibly saved her.
I had the opportunity to try the Nomo Smart Care Essential Care Kit, and despite the additional subscription cost for full access to its features, I must say this is a must-have for caregivers. The kit includes a smart hub, satellites, and motion tags, all of which work seamlessly together. This system provided us with peace of mind, knowing everything was fine while we were away. The app is straightforward and user-friendly, making setup and daily use hassle-free. The kit is highly customizable, allowing it to be tailored to meet individual needs, which was particularly useful for managing medication times and meal schedules. The real-time alerts are a standout feature, ensuring that we were immediately informed of any issues. Overall, the Nomo Smart Care Essential Care Kit is an invaluable tool for anyone responsible for the care of a loved one.
NOMO provides peace of mind knowing that we can monitor Mom’s activities, and more importantly, any variance in her activities that would cause concern. NOMO’s emergency alert system also provides great comfort knowing she can have instant contact with local emergency contacts. Now that we have NOMO, not sure how we lived without it!
My daughter set-up Nomo at her home and I was invited to her “care circle” for my twin 10 yr old grandbabies and her veteran husband with PTDS, TBI, and physical limitations. I liked that I could two ways communicate on the hub with my grandbabies in an emergency as they do not have cellphones nor a landline at the house. My daughter set-up triggers that alert her and I if the gun safe has motion for example or the front door has not opened by 4:50pm when the kids should have gotten home from school. My husband and I are in our early 70’s and didn’t feel that we needed a “I have fallen and can’t get up “ type of system however Nomo is not only fall detection for old people however my daughter asked that we also set-up a Nomo at our home. I saw how helpful it was at my daughter’s house and they don’t have an elderly person living there so I agreed. My husband and I have been using Nomo at our home and what I like about Nomo for us is that we can track our blood pressure in the Nomo app so when we go to the doctor we have several readings as opposed to a single reading at the doctor’s office. My daughter has peace of mind with the system just being in our home and if I can afford her that with it just being in my home why wouldn’t I? There are no cameras, and it doesn’t record your voice BUT if something should happen we have the option to call for help. I would recommend Nomo even if you are not a fall risk, it keeps our family connect and helps us to be proactive in our blood pressure management.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This system is great for those of us with elderly parents or loved ones and provides an excellent peace of mind! It’s also great for those with children, those with disabilities and more. The system itself is well designed and durable, super easy to set up. It’s like having an additional set of eyes watching out for your family even when you can’t be there in person, if you have to leave home for work for example. The motion detection is amazing for those at risk of falls. The 24/7 monitoring, two way communication, and caregiver notifications are amazing and so helpful. There is a monthly monitoring fee if you choose to continue the services, but honestly it’s completely worth it.
i like that it was easy to set-up, it is all in the application from your cell. the only thing that i don't like too much it is that you will need to buy more satellite plugs for each room because that is the only way that you will know where is the person who you need to look after. it comes with 4 tags, and it is not enough, neither because it is for add on the stuff that the person is touching. the cost of the membership is $10. that is a good enough per month. and the satellite and the tags cost around $20 per 2. this is why im giving 4 stars. the main function of this is monitoring the person inside the house without a camara. like his movements and where they go and touch or open. it is nice. but my afraid is how can the monitor known if someone has switched the tag to another person or animal and it keeps monitoring that tag by mistake.
(I received this product for free from Influenster and Nomo Smart Care in exchange for my honest review) This seemed like a great idea! Much less intrusive than a camera system. Motion trackers %26 panic buttons, even a 2 way voice system. But, to set it up requires the person being monitored to have a mobile phone. My mom is 84, legally blind %26 cannot utilize a mobile phone. So, she uses a landline. She can’t use a mobile. We’ve tried %26 failed. So, upon registering, I set up the account for me, then went to add her as the patient. Will NOT progress beyond that point, because it requires HER mobile number. Tried to put in my number %26 it wouldn’t work. Tried to put it as me being the monitored at which point it explains that it will send emergency info to where MY mobile is. Sending an ambulance through my work place if my mom falls 30 minutes away is not going to work. So, sadly, for our circumstances, this one won’t work. I’m sad, because it seems like a good product. And $9.99 a month is a steal for monitoring. If your loved one can use a mobile phone, I would try this, for sure. But, it’s a no go for us.
purchased the 200.00 unit plus 70.00 more in markers fir rooms in house, come to find out we dont get service in our area as we live in the country and reception could not be linked, we called customer service numerous times, with no return calls, very upsetting, now we find out its 3rd party and they wont take it back at store. its a crock, never ever will i buy from them again, thats walmart! its very upsetting this should be returned. they charged me for 3 months of service fir machine but never hooked up! zero stars from me!!!
the setup was complicating. the system was slow and couldnt understand what the other was saying. it kept shutting off. hidden charges. not worth the money and after paying the subscription for a month to learn it was a piece of crap . i cancelled the subscription and lost the subcribe money i paid. what a scam. garbage dont buy it . i want my money back and some for the hassle and waste of my time.
l couldn't get it installed. After talking to two different tech persons, they couldnt help either. Im dissapointed...
