This is my second Pizza stone. The first one we had for many years and it split right down the middle while cooking pizza. If you make homemade pizza or store bought pizza this is what you need. This stone makes the crust perfect. Very easy to use, and clean. I will purchase again if anything happens to this one.
I like these a lot. They're quite heavy. I use plural bc I purchased two. You scrape to clean it. It's supposed to become discolored with use. Size is nice for homemade pizzas. I place one on the bottommost rack. One on the top most rack. Set oven to 500. Let it cook first on the bottommost rack and then finish on the top. I can keep them going with our large family. This method cooks the bottom of the pizzas to a crispiness then finishes the last few minutes on the top to get it nicely browned and doesn't burn the bottom. Simple and delicious. I just doubled my naan recipe for delicious chewy pizza.
I bought this pizza stone thinking, “How good can a rock be?” Turns out… life-changing rock. This thing goes in my oven cold and comes out hotter than my opinions on pineapple on pizza. The first pizza I made came out so crispy and legit that I briefly considered opening a food truck. The bottom crust had that perfect crunch that makes a noise when you bite it—like the pizza is applauding itself. My smoke detector did a cameo appearance, but honestly? Worth it. Using this stone makes you feel unreasonably superior. Suddenly you're saying things like, “Oh yeah, I preheat the stone for 45 minutes” and “you really need proper heat retention,” even though yesterday you were eating pizza straight out of the box in your car. Warning: once you own this, frozen pizza will start feeling embarrassed. Friends will “stop by” around dinner time. You will burn your hands at least once because you forgot it's literally a slab of volcanic rage. Five stars. It's just a rock—but it's my rock, and it makes incredible pizza. 🍕🔥
It makes three crust of my pizza very crispy and it's very easy to use. You heat it up in the oven before using it and it comes out perfect. My only complaints is that it's hard to rotate the pizza on it and the handles are kinda lame. Other than that, it's a very good product for just $11.
On the first use I learned that the stone will stain from oils in whatever you're cooking. No amount of scrubbing or baking soda can get the stains out. If you can look past the ugly it's a great tool for making crispier pizza crust.
So we've used this pizza stone twice. The first time was a disaster. The pizza stone went in the oven to preheat. After the normal cook time 18-mins or so when the timer went off and we went to remove, the pizza was not cooked in the middle yet. Long way of saying it doesn't cook evenly. Next time we used it, we cook pizza for 4-5 extra minutes to get it done right. Plan accordingly.
I followed the baking and cleaning instructions to the T. Yet, I struggled with both. No matter how much corn meal I spread on the stone, the pizza still stuck on. After the fourth wash (soaked), the leftover sauce formed mold. I had no choice to really give it a good wash. I am experimenting with different doughs to find which one bakes best. And I now use parchment on top of the stone to prevent sticking which so far as worked quite well.
It was to be jaded in color I'm not happy with this at all don't match nothing I have. This pizza stone the pizza sticks u can't get it off so I thought my be it's the raw pizza so the box frozen pizza same thing shaky sicks can't remove pizza from the oven that I spent 45.00 on broke the first stone bought another because pizza stuck to it and same thing happened again then with frozen pizza the whole middle of pie stuck can't eat it it terrible

This is the second of these stones I've purchased in the last 5 years and the last one never let off what seems to be a chemical smell. Like a really bad, you don't want to use it smell. And when it permeates the house you're pretty much stuck with it. This stone needs to be recalled!
