I personally like these
These burner plates are great, I use them for 2 things one the defuse the flam under the pan so there's no hot spot in the pan and two keeps my other burners clean from any grease splatters that may occur. I bought 6 they are made in the USA 🇺🇸 and will last longer after the warranty expires. My mom had one it got lost in the move it lasted well over 10- 15 years

I have a nuwave I could only use certain pots. With the Nordic heat tamer I can use any pots .Its great

Propane Stove Must Have
Finally I found a reduction plate for my propane gas stove that actually reduces the amount of heat!!

Nordic Ware Heat Tamer/IBP
I'm very anxious to use it. Too bad that I bought it after the fact. Meaning that I wish I had gotten it first before I made my Chicken Tagine. in my Tagine cooking/serving vessel. I love trying different recipes & I'm sure that my Nordic Ware Heat Tamer/IBP will inspire me to cook many more things in my tagine now that I have the right tool for the job.

Product works - but had foul smell when heated
I gave this product a mediocre rating because the painted metal emits a noxious odor when it's heated over a flame.

Not for induction stoves
Don't listen to the item name, this cannot be used with induction stoves with glass tops. The packaging clearly says it can't be used with glass, and all of the induction cooktops I have ever seen are glass.

Can NOT be used on a glass top stove. That was the reason I bought it in the first place, to use on a glass top stove! Bummer!
