Nordic Ware Microwave Safe Covered Plastic Bacon Rack with Lid, White, 2 Pieces

I always buy my bacon in bulk then cut it in half to freeze it in small packages. The size of this particular tray is perfect for me. I can cook 3 slices of bacon, because I've already cut it in half. The tray is durable, well made and very similar to a much larger one I had years ago. I prefer this size and having the cover is an added bonus! I have had no issues cleaning it. I am delighted to have finally found this microwave bacon cooking tray! It really is fabulous, of excellent quality and durability. I can highly recommend this Nordic microwave bacon tray and cover. For the price it is truly amazing!

This item is excellent for frying bacon in the microwave. I microwave for 3 minutes if the bacon is to be reheated latter. For immediate eating microwave for 4 minutes. No mess, product drains the grease and can be saved for other frying instead of vegetable or corn oil. I now have one fryer in each of my two homes. It is also excellent for sausage links and franks. No more spattering in the oven or on the cooktop. Plus it is so fast.

I love this microwavable bacon cooker. If I need bacon grease I don't put paper towels under the bacon. If I want less greasy and crispy bacon, then I do put two paper towels under the bacon cooker. When the paper towels are present, it is an easy clean up. It fits four standard bacon slices without overlapping. However, the ends of the bacon do extend past the cooker for the first minute, until it shrinks. At that time I secure the lid properly.

Love bacon; dislike cleaning to the grease. This microwaveable little “grill” does the job! Put a piece of paper towel down on the pan then line up the bacon and put a paper towel on top and finally the lid. Microwave a minute per piece of bacon adjusting the time for the way you like to eat bacon. The paper towel makes it easier to clean the “grill” and lid.

I like it very much, but the first time I used it it, it got two burn spots on it. It actually melted the plastic where a piece of hot bacon was laying. It's still no problem. I will continue to use. I like the corners cut. Fits much better in my microwave.

I bought the Nordic Ware bacon tray to use in the microwave for various foods, not just bacon. I was surprised that it was heavier %26 sturdier than expected. If using for bacon I would prefer it to be 2”-3” longer %26 2”- 3” wider if cooking for a few people. I would cover the bacon with paper towels not the lid since one review mentioned the lid warped. I cooked chicken nuggets recently %26 they came out perfect. The tray washed up nicely %26 I do recommend this tray for general microwave use.

this is great for cooking bacon in the microwave the bottom is a harder plastic and the top is a much lighter kind of plastic be careful not to let the bacon slices to hang over because it causes the lightweight plastic top to start to melt .Other than that it seems to do pretty well. it is diswasher safe and its easy to wash or wash by hand if you prefer.

The base is not long enough to lay a full piece of bacon across it and is limited to four pieces. My microwave is about eye level, making it a bit awkward to remove the tray and lid. Cleaning is not the easiest, either, thanks to the ribbing. I'll be replacing this with one that has a handle.

Paper towels on a dinner plate work better than this for cooking bacon in the microwave and are much easier to clean up afterwards. The only good thing about this is it's cheap and doesn't take up much room in the garbage can, where it went after one use.

When I took it out of the book the edges were rough than I realized it was chipped on 4 of the rows that you put the bacon on. I tried to use it but realized after the second use the brown from the bacon was already seeping into the product. I threw it away. Cleaning it also was not easy to do.
