Nordic Ware Norwegian Krumkake and Pizzelle Iron

Great product to use

I've had this for about a year, but have always been a little intimidated by it, probably because every recipe I've read says something very different about cooking times. Today, I was determined to make stroopwafels with it. I used another recipe, but used the NordicWare instructions cooking time...and presto! Lots of perfect (okay, almost perfect; after all, this is the first time I've used it), nicely browned, extremely thin cookies. After this, I won't hesitate. Great product!

I have celiac disease. I inherited my MIL's krumkake maker when she passed away but I couldn't use it for fear of gluten contamination. I was so excited to find Nordicware's krumkake iron. It's perfect and almost exactly like what my Norwegian MIL had!

I didn't grow up with a krumkake tradition but I moved to an area that celebrates winter holidays profusely with both krumkake and pizzelles. Having a wheat allergy, I felt left out. After a few burnt and underdone monstrosities, I have figured it out how to use it. (If you are also brand new to the pizelle and krumkake making tradition, note that the learning curve is a bit steep. Don't be afraid of using lots of butter. You can do it!) I am delighted to say I will be able to join the traditional winter indulgences this year!

I have used the product more times at Christmas than any other time , I be live it would be safe to say that it was used at lease for forty years , what I do is use a wooden doll about 1 1/2 to 2 inches an make the cookies that way, grand kids love them that way. and the product has been a great item to use,,,thanks for being there to make the kids happy,,,they are now making them for them/self...great product

I love this iron. It has the exact same pattern as my really old one. It also worked exactly the same. It came very fast and I was entirely pleased with my order.

its a long tradition on my mothers side of the family to use this krumkake iron not for krumkake, but for fresh corn tortillas. the design it puts on the tortillas always gets comments from guests.

This new iron is so different from my Nordic ware iron from 40 years ago. It's about 1 inch in diameter smaller and the outside shape is different. My son and granddaughter burned themselves on the "handles" on the sides. Mine does not have them. If I could send a picture of my older iron I would however your site doesn't allow that. My son is disappointed that his new iron is different in that manner. I'm not giving up my older iron so I'm not sure what to tell them. Plus the smaller size is a disappointment.
