This Norpro Grip-EZ is our 2nd purchase as over a long period of daily use %26 thorough washing we did find it to naturally become duller. However, we can't imagine returning to slicing apples by hand. This is so fast while producing perfectly sized sections for eating %26 encourages us to have an apple frequently rather than turning to quick less healthy snacks. Thank You.
This works great! It makes apple slices which are just the right size for a pie or cobbler. I'm very hapoy with my purchase.
super sharp, and nice and semi thin like I like them.
I like the 16 section cuts. I also like the plastic form on the bottom, which keeps the blades sharp.
I bought the (Norpro 5133 Grip-EZ 16 Slice Fruit Wedge/Corer with Push Plate) based on YouTube video reviews. It works great. I like the 16 slices since they are thinner and easier to bite into. Thanks.
This apple corer slicer works really well. 16 slices, perfect for salads. Easy to use.
Love everything about it, except it does not store easily. The two separate pieces do not have any way to "connect," so I am left using a rubber band to keep them together. It would be perfect if the blade piece snapped into the base for easy storage.
i like the smaller segments (16 as opposed to the usual 8 in apple / fruit slicers). And the cover prevents accidental finger cuts. But unfortunately, the one I received is not particularly "sharp", but seems instead to mainly rely on the fact that a thin enough piece of stainless steel can be forced through CRISP apples as if it were a knife 🔪. So, yes, on crisp apples its perfect, but it definitely lets me know if the freshly boght apples were warehoused too long and are getting "pethy" because then it is harder to get it to start into them (takes near full body weight some wiggling). Also, the slicers are not all welded in perfectly veryical, and the spacing is a bit off, but I'm not measuring the pieces it makes, visually the kids don't see any differences. I had one of another brand that had a hinged "cover"/cutting plate, but I like this snap on plastic one better. And I don't use the cover as a cutting plate as I don't want to "test its strength" Would I recommend this to others? Absolutely, but I probably prefer to buy it in store, so I could check the blades for sharpness %26 straightness (I'm just a bit picky some times).
I liked how it sliced my apple very thin...Easy to use and clean...Bottom plate helps slice the apple and also protect your table too ...
I gave it a 3 star because it is difficult to push down on it. Not sure if it is not sharp enough or just me not having enough strength.
