This lil cutie is perfect for making 4-poached eggs at a time. The spots to drop your eggs in work perfect for sizes even up to an extra large egg. The eggs slide out easily and the pan is a cinch to clean up. I highly recommend it!
the package that came from FedEx was completely damaged it was crushed on both ends and on top almost like somebody stepped on it it was disgusting I would have been very upset if it had ruined what was inside that box so somebody better talk to FedEx
Walmart.com had best price around. Only used it once but it makes poached eggs a favorite of mine now! Only issue is having a hard time getting egg out. Have to use a metal spoon and afraid to scratch pan and makes a little bit of a mess. But overall happy I purchased pan.
The only reason I rated this 4 stars instead of 5, is because the advertising says it "fits a 10 to 12" skillet" which it does not. Luckily, I had a smaller skillet that I use it with, and it works great. Other than that one thing, it's excellent. My husband and I have been enjoying poached eggs, like our moms made when we were kids. :-) And it's very easy to clean, too. I love it.
I already have the perfect stainless pan I use with another egg poacher which fits perfectly but the non-stick surface is all worn off from the thousands of times it was used and still is used. This is why I bought this one. It seemed like it was going to be the right size but is just a bit too small in diameter and fits too low in the pan and gets the eggs splattered with water which you don't want. Make sure the poacher fits your pan properly as best you can before purchasing. It probably works great with another pan for all I know!
The quality is fine. The cups are too small and the eggs will run over the edges and make a mess. Previously I bought the same look and brand. It was bigger and better. Don't know why it's smaller.
This is on me, mostly, but being 8.5" in diameter, it doesn't fit any pan or skillet that I own. They're all too small or too big. It does cook the eggs just fine, just a bit of a mess extracting them once they're cooked.
After first use, it was left with scratches from a spoon carefully removing the cooked pouched eggs. It completely removed the surface.
Save your money and don't buy this. I used it once and the egg whites are still stuck to the cups! The instructions say to put butter in each cup, but I used avocado oil. I applied it thoroughly to each cup. The eggs cooked just fine but I haven't been able to clean the cups. I tried soap and water, then soaked it in water for 4 hours. So far I have failed to get them clean. Not worth the effort.
I thought it came with a pan to put water in, I used a pan, so I tried it once and the eggs burned around the edges and the eggs were rubbery!
