A classic finally on Blu-ray
A great Blu-ray set of a classic 90s series

Timely delivery. just received today so have not had a chance to see if the discs play correctly yet. Was fortune that Walmart offered Northern Exposure in Blu ray with bonus features as week.I hope there's minimal music that has been altered from the original. i hope as much of the original is the same music as the blu ray i just received.

NX in HD
In its first region one blu-ray release, the cinematic aesthetic of Northern Exposure is brought to life with excellent picture and sound quality. But there are a few drawbacks. Despite other reviews I've read, this set still has royalty-free music replacement in some of the original soundtrack. I wasn't too surprised by this, but it would have been nice to have a region one release with original music intact. Maybe someday! (If you want the show with its original soundtrack, I suggest checking out other region releases.) In terms of packaging, the outer box is pretty plain and simple without much visual appeal, but the inner season sets are nice and feature original promo photos. The bonus features are nothing new from previous DVD releases but nice to have them included. Overall, if you're looking for an HD upgrade from your region one DVDs, this blu-ray set is for you.
