Just an out standing washer. Standing up to it's name. I own a detail shop and having the start stop feature is nice. And having it electric saves time and money. No gas to get, it's just turn on the water and flip the on switch and get to work. Thank you
Great product so far. Had the 110 version of this for over 20 years. We upgraded to the 220 version - What a difference much more volume and pressure. Had an issue with the original delivery the electrical plug was damaged. Called customer service & they sent me an entire new 30 ft cord with the molded plug on the end. Well worth the effort to set up the 220 power.
Works well, this is our second one and have no issues.
great product been buying from northern for years
Just bought this pressure washer, what a BEAST
Pros: well made with excellent peripherals, fast delivery and well packaged Cons: ungodly loud (OK, not as loud as a gas unit but its electric..what the heck?) and, like virtually all pressure washers it doesnt output the claimed psi (my gauge says about 2500)
I bought this machine to replace my old pressure washer that had a gas engine. This unit has a lot of power and does a nice job. It was damaged in shipment. I had to straighten one wheel so it would rotate. The unit has a NEMA 6-30 plug on it, which I had never seen before, so I installed a dedicated circuit and outdoor outlet on my shop, which makes setup very handy. The first time I tried to use it, the motor wouldn't run. I found a bad solder connection on the motor overload protector. I would think that most people would not encounter that issue. The motor is controlled by a flow switch which should work well with city water pressure. On my farm system, I sometimes have a few second delay starting the motor if the pressure is down. Overall, I am pleased with the unit and would reccomend it.
I bought this, had the 30 amp receptacle installed. The first time I used it smoke started coming out of the motor. Took to Northern tool for repairs and was told nothing is wrong. Took it home and tried again. This time no smoke, it just kept tripping the breaker and re-setting. Now it's back at Northern tool for repairs. Very disappointed for a $1500 dollar purchase. I expected more. Very disappointed with this purchase.
Customer service is great except why do we need them this much? Northern has a mobile service van in this area thank goodness! 1 previous washer is 10 years old and still running at our second building, this new one is so disappointing! We've been through 6 units in 6 months - 4 in 2 weeks. Water supply is WELL within the minimum requirements, Electrical has been checked and re-checked, It's just poor quality components!
Purchased and mounted to wall for a garage detail setup. Paid extreme detail to ensure proper level of oil and fittings. Unit began smoking and stopped working within 3 mos. No store / service center anywhere near me. When I called NorthStar, they admitted they sometimes had to substitute key components due to supply change issues and they have had similar issues with many customers. Huge disappointment.
