this wheel kit works well with the 3 inch pump that I got it for. Makes it much easier to move the pump around. Simple but effective.
Excellent quality, fit perfectly, makes maneuvering the pump lots easier than lifting.
Easy to install and makes moving the main unit easy to do by one individual.
I needed a wheel kit for another brand of portable generator and found this one to work just fine. The square tubing on the gen set was smaller than that for the wheel kit, so had to improvise with spacers to make it work. Was impressed with this wheel kit having grease nipples, versus having to use oil for lubrication of wheel bearings and mess that creates.
This wheel kit works fine, but be aware that the pump frame does not have mounting holes so you will need a drill and appropriately sized bits to drill the mounting holes.
The product handle does not fit into the bracket included. The handle had to be modified to attach to the bracket. Hardly what you would expect after spending more than $100 on a handle.
I first off would like to say how much I like and enjoy using my NorthStar Extended Run Trash Pump. It is a great tool for the money. I'm sure Northern Tool will not be happy with this review of the wheel kit, but it is really a disaster of a design. For one, it is not the easiest thing in the world to install. Mind you, I turn wrenches for a living and this kit was very cheesy in quality and design. Either the tires are not mounted centered on the rims or the rims themselves are not straight, but even if the tires clear during installation, they rub the pump frame as they roll. Secondly, the handle when in the up position is at about a 90 degree angle instead of parallel to the ground. You have to lift the handle to about shoulder height to get the feet on the bottom of the frame to clear the ground. Also, at the high angle, the rubber grip slides off of the handle. I almost sent my pump into the drink rolling it down a dock ramp when the grip came off in my hand. I would really like to get my money back on this deal, but holes have to be drilled into the frame to mount this kit and I really don't want them to be left open after removing kit. I just have to chaulk it up to better luck next time.
