WOW! If you're looking for that fresh, bold new twist on Bram Stoker's Dracula...this is it. Such a beautiful, smooth, but scary film. I can't really believe Hollywood wrote and produced this great film. It's definitely worth the money.
If you like slow burn horror movies this is for you. Closely follows the story of the 1930s movie if you've seen it. Settings and costumes are gorgeous.
I saw this in theaters when it came out so I knew I had to have it! I loved watching it again! In the extended edition not only were there deleted scenes but there were scenes I didn't recall seeing. Anyone who is a horror fan or vampire fan will love this!
I had been waiting for, “Robert Eggers” version of “Nosferatu” and it did not disappoint. This film has unique ability to pull you into eerie atmosphere, with unsettling scary feeling that lingers while watching this film
EXCELLENT REMAKE OF NOSFERATU 1922 FILM THAT WAS ALMOST LOST DUE TO A LAWSUIT BROUGHT BY BRAM STOKERS WIDOW. SHE WON AND THE FILM WAS SUPPOSE
There are differences from the original movie. It generally follows the same storyline. It fills in some of the story, but it is quite relevant. The bizarre possession of the leading lady is an added feature. Making the occult professor into a discredited scholar was unnecessary. There is bloody gore, but not to excess. The Count Orlock is totally different from the Max Schreck original version. Schreck brought true shock and horror. The new vampire is more disgust and revulsion. But those elements seem to work in the new movie. The acting is very good. Some Internet critics said that Lily Rose Depps acting was overacting. No. It had to fit the bizarre mentality of her role. Enjoy this movie and get creeped out good! 🦇
The disc itself was A-Okay, but the story itself was too long with few standout moments. And what's with the dark filter Hollywood uses to give the movie "mood" and "effect"? Enough already.
Thought it would be better, pretty lame for a Dracula movie really with today technology-did better way back when movies were a surprise -today nah! Shame
was actually very boring. I had hear such phenomenal reviews. For me, wasn't scary AT ALL. perhaps i has thought it wouls be my closer to the original.
i honestly regret purchasing this movie. i honestly found it rather boring and didn't quite care for it. even for a reboot of the original story of the 1920s or 1930s silent film. couldn't stand the whole bouncing between different languages mess.
