Perfect! Great value for great quality results. I use the nostalgia ice cream mix and added fresh strawberries in no time we had homemade ice cream with a gelato texture. It wasn't grainy or icy milk like some ice cream machines make great job! Perfect! Great value for great quality results. This brought back memories of my childhood. I remember the sound of the motor whirring and the sloshing of the ice as the canister spun. It's still the same all these years later. Make sure you use plenty of ice and rock salt because it helps speed the process.
This item makes a decent amount of ice cream and tends to perform well. The only issue is having enough ice available when you want to make ice cream, so some planning is required. It comes with a decent recipe book or you can tweak your own recipes.
Dont forget when you purchase this IceCream maker, you purchase Rock Salt (ice-cream salt, its on/in baking isle). And ICE. Follow directions for the kind you want. Makes Delicious Ice-cream in 2.5-3 hrs..keep a watch for adding Ice and Salt (as needed).
Bought for 4th of July ice cream for a party. Worked great! Took about 45 min for our vanilla batch to complete. I used Alton Brown's vanilla recipe which made a little over 8 cups of liquid… it expanded to fill but not overflow the container. Very happy with the ice cream maker. Will use it again %26 again!
We were on vacation and I wanted my grand kids to experience homemade ice cream like I did when I was a child. The kind I used was the old fashioned hand crank ice cream maker. This one was reasonable and I used the amazon Chilly Churn vanilla %26 Birthday cake flavored ice cream mix. Everybody loved the ice cream so much that we made it several times. Even family members who rarely ate vanilla loved the flavor. I was very happy with the experience.
I thought I'd like to make my own sorbet. First batch didn't turn out, so read the directions. Second batch I made, ice cream that turned out okay. Great price to try and fool around with different recipes. I'm glad I got the kind I can add more ice to instead of one you freeze.
got it for grandkids and if course grandpa but it was so easy to set up and we had amazing ice cream in less than 45 minutes start to eating! best thing about it is the price 2nd easy to use Ray to clean! highly recommend! makes enough for family of 10!
We are trying to learn how to make homemade ice cream and didn't want to spend a fortune for the experiment Ordered this and it delivered next day - on try number 3, we like it - the ice cream- the freezer is meeting the expectations and the use is perfect for what we are doing - I had purchased a pampered chef ice cream maker and it's only the 3rd thing from PC that I haven't liked - I like this $20 item much more than that $90 PC item
this was supposed to be a birthay hift for my son. it took a very long time to recieve it and after i gave it to my son they didnt open itfor a while. When they finally did, it was missing the inside parts, the paddle to actually churn the ice cream was missing rendering it useless. i want my money back.
