I purchased the fountain for my 40th birthday party in September and was very excited. I opened it to give it a test run. When I opened it; it was missing 1 cup (it only had 5 cups when it had supposed to came with 6). I assembled the fountain filled it with water, turned it on. The fountain worked fine for about 2 minutes, then it started to make a humming sound, and the water was not pumping up to the top, and it was leaking. I unplugged it, then drained it. I waiting a few days refilled the fountain hoping it was just a glitch, same thing happened. I'm so disappointed because I really wanted this fountain for my birthday.

It's made from plastic, no surprise there but didn't look as elegant as the photos coming out of the box. After doing a test run with water, the white light bulb blew up. And I mean exploded. Luckily no one was hurt but as far as I'm concerned this thing is a waste of money

I purchased this fountain and it was shipped directly to me. It arrived in horrible condition- shipped in its original box (no protection of any kind), was taped up, box was ripped, and was written all over. I only use the fountains for special occasions, and planned to put it in a plastic box for storage after opening. I opened recently to use, and it was broken. I should have checked, given the shape the box was in, but didn't and am now past the "return window". I have had this fountain before, and loved it, which is why I bought another one after years of use on my original. However, I will not buy again if I can't buy in a store.
