Nostalgia Snow Cone Maker, Shaved Ice Machine and Snow Cone Maker with 2 Ice Molds, Green

Was a gift for 4-year-old grandchild for birthday. It did shave ice well from ice cubes but left a good bit in the machine. Did not use container provided for making round ice at time. An adult will have to run it because it takes strength to hold and push the top down to shave the ice. Still made a nice gift and something the family can enjoy this summer. Doesn't put the nice rounded top you see at fairs and a little messy with a bowl underneath. Be prepared for the colored syrup toppings to stain around and down the mouth so might not want before going out. The syrup might stain cloths also. Still overall a nice family summer treat.

Stop right there. I've tried the commercial stuff. It blows the ice in a wide path. You need a bowl to catch the ice and a lot more money. Buy this. Your search is over. Perfect snow cones every time.

Its a birthday gift my granddaughter who is turning 6 years old. She likes for me to make her shaved ice when she comes over so i got her a machine for her mom to make for her at home.

I would prefer a softer/finer ice. This comes out too hard. Also, it took forever for me to get it to start working.

There's not too much I can say about it. It arrived and it worked one time and then it wouldn't turn on again so I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anybody else. I'll try the next one.
